  1. Hey guys, newbie here. I am in the process of adding fog lights to my 2006 fusion SE I-4. I bought OEM fog lights, black inserts, a relay, some wire to make my own wiring harness, and a replacement OEM headlight/fog light switch. My problem is that I cannot seem to wire the new fog light switch, so that it will trigger a relay. Looking at my factory wiring manual, there are 3 wires going to the fog switch: -brown/white: fog indicator -grey/violet: fog lamps on -black/violet: ground I disconnected the factory harness from the switch, as there is no power going to the fog portion of the switch. I connected a 12v wire from the fusebox,to the "BN-WH" pin#7 on the switch (fog indicator LED). Also wired the "BK-VT" pin#1, to ground. The orange fog indicator LED works fine when the fog switch is on The "GY-VT" fog lamps on (pin#7), measures 12v with the switch OFF, but only measures about 25mA. This pin will not trigger the relay. How can I wire this switch to trigger a relay?? Has anyone here added fog lights (to a fusion that did not come with factory fogs) using a new factory fog light switch? I have included pics from the factory wiring manual. Thanks in advance for any help, Stew182.
