  1. That's what I thought... They are indeed heat patches that get applied at hgih temperature, like those on label clothing... Not any way to remove unless you wnat to put new cloth around it all!
  2. I thought that those labels were federal government required to install, and thus the manufacturer's are required to install them... However I don't know if its like the bed tags that have stiplations that you souldn't remove or not but that's up to you. I also thought that they weren't really stickers anyways... I thought that they were ironed on, and therefore they are indeed woven into the cloth well. Personally after owning quite a few new vehicles with these labels I don't even see them!
  3. Even though the front molded may be the same for the versions, I still dont' think the molded work with the Sport's extra skirt, which runs along the doors... Hmmmmm.. This isn't fun! Why can't things be simple?
  4. I hear everything you guys have said above, and do believe that 2010SEL is right on some things... With the 2010 Sport model they have a few extra skirt modlings and such on the front wheel wells and the back do angle in more that that of the 06-09 model. Even though the ford model site lists it's ok, I still have some reservations... I'm thinking of waiting a bit longer and ensrue this is al true... Especially seeing how they don't denote anything about Sport model changes for the molded versions! I think that ford does have a few things to evaluate on the 2010... I think that they noted this since it's using the same frame, but the moldings and body side items have been re-designed in the 2010. If anyone hears otherwise, please keep us all posted!
  5. Hello All, This morning I had the most interesting thing, my SYNC when I pressed the voice command had static instead of verbal output or tones. Besides it scaring the :censored: wits out of me at 5:00 due to al the extra noise, I did't like the noises it was making. But sync was fully functional, the only thing that was acting up was the voice output like the audio chip or driver didn't initialize accurately. Thankfully my trip was short as I was heading to the GYM... I went in, exercised for 30 minutes and when I came out SYNC was fine. Has anyone else ever experienced this in the past? Any ideas as to the cause? If not does anyone know of a way to reboot sync while the car is in motion :shift: ? My concern that is if I'm on a long trip and this occurs I'd like to reboot sync without having to cycle engine power.... It would be nicer to just have it reboot and try to re-initialize itself to reduce the problem. Of course if it continues to happen I'll be brining the vehicle into the garage to have it evaluated more... But just wanted to know... :superhero: For those of you who are trying to help, my SYNC equipeed vehicle is: - 2010 Ford Fusion Sport, Wth NAVI, Sony Surround, Updated 3.0 Software - At the time of occurance, the car had the defrosters going, rear defrosters, headlights and foglights, and I had my driver seat warmer on high, and iPod plugged into the USB connecter, SYNC had connected to my iPhone 3GS via bluetooth.
  6. I don't see how the auto up features of the windows would work with these, plus having to put them between the body and gasket seems to be a challenge!
  7. Does anyone have a picture of their ventvisors on a 2010 model year? I have them purchased and dont' know if I want to install them right out of the box in smoke color, or if I want to get them painted likeI had in previous editions... However with the middle of the 2010 it has a black molding, which I think would show the painted vent visors alot... So I'm just looking for what it may look like on thier cars.. Thanks!
  8. Never heard of this... It's not a ford service is it? It's more like an aftermarket deal right? And it depends on your style... I like to clean my cars myself, so that is expensive and truthfully I can save a fortune by doing this work by hand and bying the products myself.
  9. Hi there... even though I don't have the hybrid I was browsing these forums... I have the illuminated sills here, and I need to schedule them up... They look awesome in person but again final installation pending... As for hte splash guards that are molded and have the "fusion" title written on them... someone has pictures out on the main "Ford forum" in the fusion section... They look awesome, however due to my sport, I need to talk to the parts and service department to see hwo this works with the extra sport skirt on the front wheel wells...
  10. The only trick that I would have you try is select the podcast, pause it. plug it in to SYNC (car off), start the car, tell it USB and you might get that edition to play... However since podcasts are stored differently in the iPod, SYNC doesn't index it... As it also has differetn Metadata tags that won't let it index. Unless you convert the Podcast to MP3, and then add it into your library as a MP3 and tag it with ARTIST, GENRE, ALBUM and TITLE there is no way that sync will ever see it! I know sucks hey... Hopefully future SYNC editions will work around barriers (and allow us to use things like the compilation flag)
  11. Hi All, As you may know SYNC will integrate in with your iPod device, however I have recently encoutnered a scenario where you may get told that SYNC could not index all of your files.... Through using the SYNC My iTunes utility I have identified some key issues that will prevent you from having it work sucessfully. A - SYNC doesn't like the "Compilation Flag" and wants to turn them all off! I have compilations identified for sound tracks and such so that I know it all belongs to one another. I don't know why Ford/Microsoft can't skip over this Meta Data Tag to help reduce problems B - It doesn't seem to like artist that have all upper case names... I.E. ABBA want's to be changed to Abba in both the artist and title name fields. C - Additional other fields must have the appropraite upper and lower case fields for accentation with speech recognition... Such as "I'm OK" want to be changed to "I'm Ok" .... "Rock'n'Roll" to "Rock'n'roll" The capitalization I can understand due to voice recognition, but I wish there was a way to not do this... Or have it ignore them! And as for the compilation... what does it matter? Why can't it just keep a local copy on there and Sync doesn't talk anything about the compilation metadata tag in the support FAQ's... Hope this helps resovle some of your issues!
  12. The other thing that I am wondering here is if the Sirius Satellite radio's installed on some of these vehicles aren't caching enough data... so when you get into a really rough section of recieval that you start getting bad data reception and it can't recover.... thus making the sounds terrible..
  13. Hi All, I've just recieved my new Ford Fusion, and need to connect my iPod Classic to it. Does anyone know how long it takes to index an iPod with approximately 9000 songs on it? I just don't want to start the index and make it to a destination without the process becoming complete.... Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.
  14. Do those weather tech's go in the window slot? I personally don't like the vent visors that stick in that spot... After all you need to have the window rolled up for like a whole day to ensure that they stick in there.... Why not go to your ford dealer and get the Ford ones? I've used them in the past and they give you both front and back in smoke color as requested. No problems with them that I've ever had... Though the ford ones stick on the outside with the 3M adhesive tape (which as never produced a problem wtih my clearcoats in the many years I've used them. It's up to you and really boils down to what ever you prefer to use the most.
  15. Is this a recent issue that you are noticing? As it coudl be an issue that Sirius is having with thier satellites... It may be worth questioning Sirius, as well as a dealer, because their could be a problem with that end or the conversion over a combined Sirius/XM Nation. I've not heard of anyone else complain about this... So I would think that it may be specific to your area... Such as you're not getting a true satellite connection and using the terrestrial connection (repeating ground antenna's) which could be over-extending and distorting the signal! That is inded strange! And thus Sirius may know about this problem in your area, or atleast be able to give you some sort of compensation for your bad reception!
