So we have a 14 fusion hybrid SE. I bought the plug n play remote start system from 12volt solutions about 2 years ago. This is the wife’s car. When I installed it it worked perfectly. 3x lock button to start it or use the app on iPhone to start it. Both ways either the AC or heat plus heated seats come on as needed. Fast forward to now. I happen to ask the wife a couple months ago how the remote start is working and she tells me fine except the car is cold when she gets in. So I go investigate only to find in the left cluster menu when you go into the remote start area that the climate controls are all greeted out along with “quiet start” which I have no idea what that means. Back when it was not grey I tried with both ways and nothing different happened. Anyway I have reset the module and also gone into the ecm with forscan and disabled and re enabled the remote start to no avail. Same issue. Climate grayed out and of course it does not heat or cool. I’ve called the guys at 12 volt and they are as puzzled as I am. They have never heard of this. So I put it out to the brain trust here and see if any of you fine folks have thoughts.

so I have a 14 Fusion hybrid and also a 14 C-Max energi. When in the cmax energi and i shift to L it slows the vehicle down as if i was lightly stepping on the brake. It makes it easy to 1 foot drive in traffic. Just for info if the cmax battery is full like after a charge then putting it into L will cause the engine to rev up to slow down because the battery is full and the energy has nowhere to go. Now in the Fusion hybrid the same thing causes the engine to rev up to slow the vehicle down. This happens weather the battery is almost empty or full. So now the question is to any of the smart people here that know the codes. What i would like to do is to change the programming using Forscan in the PCM (im assuming thats where it would be) maybe the BCM. anyway I have a 14 fusion energi VIN that has the exact same options and have tried to look at the code to see whats different but no luck yet. any thoughts would be appreciated.

very interesting. A friend of mine had a cmax energi which had leaking on the trans. I now have a brand new 2013 Lincoln mkz hybrid (dealer owner demo) i did the first oil change myself to check things out and look around and guess what? I have a leak too! its on the trans and a huge stain on the cover that is under the engine. mine was built in june of 13.

Well its gone. Final number was 28K. Paid 30K so with the $1700 tax credit I'm all good. Thanks for all the comments. And I did not even have to make my first payment! :)

Nope. Mirror works just as it should. My windows are smoked hard and my mirror works like a champ! :)

I did get x-plan. so its not a bad deal. I got it thru my union so no worries on hurting anyones feelings. They will be happy I am buying another ford anyway.

Actually I am taking it. They say they are happy to get it because they can't even get one from the factory. Seems like some people are getting deals. I paid x-plan so I am hardly losing much. As far as the business goes, its a studio rental business for transportation. Michigan is giving the biggest tax breaks of any state and the productions are lining up to come here and film. When they use a michigan based company then they get even more tax credit. So it should work out good. We already have reservations for equipment.

Sorry I must have been reading wrong. My MSRP Sticker that was on my car is $33,395.

MSRP for my car is $34200. Anyway I am not going to argue. All I am doing is putting it out there. If someone who does not want to order one and wait 2-3 months might make an offer. If a dealer is willing to pay me $29K that has got to say something.

I hear what you are saying but not everyone is getting the price you are getting. I have already had one dealer offer me 29.5K because they can't even get one. So If someone is interested they can always make an offer.

Hey guys I am toying with the idea of selling my FFH. I love it and its killing me to even think about it. But I just moved to Michigan and I am buying a house with land and starting a business. I now am finding a need for a big truck. I could get one and keep the FFH but then I have 2 payments and that does not make sense. I have the Tri-coat white, with black leather 502a with remote start. It has 6K on it. I bought it in LA drove to texas then to Michigan and then back. Poor car has really been moving. Its getting really good mileage. I am recording about 40-41 mpg mostly highway at 70mph plus. Anyway I was looking for 30K just to pay it off. If anyone has any interest let me know. thanks!

Hey all I got my FFH about 3 weeks ago and already have 5K on it! Lots of traveling and also moving to a new state. anyway I have noticed that when on the hwy with cruise on sometimes the car feels like a rubber band kind of surging back and forth and if I look at the display for power it will show the up arrow then down arrow back and forth. Also I have noticed that it seems to kind of shutter when the engine goes off when I drop below 47. It did not start doing this until about 4K miles. I just had the oil changed at a ford dealer at the 5K mark. I am old school so I like to do the first one early. but this issue was happening before i got the oil changed. wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I wonder if maybe it might just need a software update or something. thoughts?

It will get better as it breaks in. I have had quite a few hybrids so I have learned how to drive them. If you use your foot and get up to speed then when your on flat ground if you slowly take pressure ever so slightly off the pedal and watch the gauge you will be amazed how the mpgs will climb. The cruise just maintains speed but with your foot you can control it much better. I just drove from Texas to Detroit and I traveled between 75-80 and maintained 40.1 mpg for the whole trip. The second time I filled up the miles to empty were 641!

I gues I don't understand my car with Nav already has weather, traffic etc.. does that mean I have 3.0?
