Potential large-ish scale mods. (Math engage!)
DJ Starr replied to Lomilar's topic in General Discussion
I can't comment to the math but the formulas make sense to me, it's been a while since college. I love the concepts and the write up. Keep us posted on any executions. -
I have a 2009 SEL and I plug in my iPod Touch quite often. Never had any issues. I believe my Sync is 1.2. If it will help troubleshoot, I can check the version next time I am in the vehicle, just let me know.

2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid Ford Sale at MSRP!
DJ Starr replied to SHEEHYFORDOFRICHMOND's topic in General Discussion
You seemingly are a fan of Ford Fusions, being you are on this board. He has one to sell, what's the big deal? If I had something to sell, I would certainly find fans of the product I was trying to peddle. MSRP is MSRP. If he wants it, I bet he'll get it. If you don't like the price, don't buy it. I get a kick outta some people who spend 3 weeks driving around and countless hours at 7 dealers to save $329.32 +/-. Everything is a game for some people, others just don't really lose any sleep. My goodness, isn't your time worth something too? -
akirby... Now there's a familiar face!

I live in Minnesota which I suppose some would classify as a cold climate (wimps). Anyhow though, I cart my kids in and out of the back seat all the time, no such issue for me. I would be S.O.L. if I couldn't get the rear doors to open. Maybe they froze because of lack of use? Interested to hear the end result anyhow, best of luck...

Add delayed 12v accessory plug?
DJ Starr replied to Bort76's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
Ironically enough, I was thinking of doing the same thing. I popped into Best Buy yesterday to ask what they charge, $50 ouch. I have my mount by my little cubby in the centerstack near the cig lighter. Not too obvious like on the windshield but not hidden by any means. I am used to having a nav always on and often look down to see the roads, even if I am not using it for a route per se. It comes in handy during traffic jams and what not. I figure I will tap into the fuse box once I find a suitable port. Anyone taken a look yet? It is cold here so I won't be tackling it for a while but I will post my results when I do. Anyone figured out a nice way to conceal it in the center stack glove box? That could be slick.
