So I have the same issue I have a 2014 Ford fusion energy SE it does not vibrate when I'm in battery but it does when the engine is at certain RPMs which are lower RPMs in the two to 4000 and it's in the left side of my car I thought it was the a pillar also but I believe it's not I believe it's the actual dashboard vibrating against plastic I noticed I stuck a thick piece of paper in between the a pillar and the dashboard and it kept it quiet for a while but certain movements would make it come back but the odd thing is it sounds like it's in the pillar but I've taken my pillar off I don't see anything loose
