  1. There's an auxillary coolant pump that is electric to keep heat going when in EV mode. I had a customer's hybrid that wasn't getting power on the circuit that powers that pump. If you have the engine up to temp and you have the heat on and go to idle, once the gas engine shuts off, does it blow cool air?
  2. Get it to your dealer to check out. The blower motors are on backorder for a reason unfortunately.
  3. Agree, OEM is the only way to go and this is coming from a guy with OEM, independent and dealership shop experience. The Ford pads are ceramic to begin with and they are designed to last unlike the aftermarket. I did my rears at about 77K. Could have pushed it a little further I guess, and I still have plenty of life left on the fronts. OEM! OEM! OEM! :roses:
  4. Approx. 7K on my rears. No problems thus far. Haven't noticed if wheels are dirtier or not. Shouldn't be, went with Ford OEM pads since they lasted so long to begin with.
  5. Just noticed the other day when washing my Fusion that the left side headlight lense is starting to yellow. Car is almost four years old. Originally a southern car, then spent a couple years in Michigan and is now back in Atlanta. Still seems premature though. Has anyone elses started to yellow/fog up?
  6. If I recall correctly, you latch the belt, then promptly unlatch it and it should stop chiming.
  7. I've driven and seen alot of Ford vehicles with leather seats. The driver seat does not hold up well. I don't know when exactly Ford went cheap. The driver seat in my 92 Taurus looks brand new compared to my 06 Fusion.
  8. It's called a parking brake for a reason. It wasn't just put there to add cost to the vehicle...
  9. Your car lost value by thousands of dollars the instant you drove it off the lot because there hundreds of dealers that'll outsell/outfinance a buyer looking for a similar car.
  10. So Sen. McCain swapped his Michigan built vehicle for a Mexican built vehicle? Now, that's Change! :hysterical:
  11. Diesel Doctor, got your 35 and 38 certification for today's deadline?
  12. Z, if the Escape is any indication of how these things will roll out, unless you're buying from the Galpins/Bill Browns/Town & Countrys/Five Stars of the Ford world, the allocation is going to be very little. I hate to sound pessismistic, but I'm not holding my breath here. Hopefully the wife's car can hold out, she wants a hybrid, but not an SUV and Chryslers plugins and hybrid assault are still years away (her family is Chryco).
  13. If you're using the input jack you need to select "SYNC Line In" and not "SYNC USB" as the media source.
  14. Genius! I bet somebody at PD nixed the idea for this to be on the vehicle from the factory due to "cost reasons..." :redcard: But then again, I personally am not a fan of engine covers like you see on just about anything today...but I do appreciate the NVH changing qualities they can provide.
