I would be most concerned with how it was able to start the car without a coded key? From what I have read some systems use an actual key locked in a box? Also if the dealer is doing it they are marking it up big time and they are the only one providing a warranty. If you go to a national chain at least they will cover it wherever they go? As for heat settings, I used to have a Diesel pickup and I just set the defrosters on with the heat on high when I turned the truck off at night. In the summer I would set the AC on high. I don't really think the Hybrid has a different remote start that a conventional one? Looks like for system is 238.00? http://www.partscheap.com/2010_Ford_Fusion_Remote_Start_Systems_p/8l3z-19g365-ba-f10.htm

Black will be hot, the sand is pretty light grey is a decent choice
-
My understanding it that sync uses an online database of music for the info.
-
The system will not even load a MP3 cd onto the hard drive
-
I am not sure why the only way to add music is with a CD. The only thing I can think of is copyright issues? Just seems silly you can play mp3s off a flash drive but can't copy them. Plus you can only add music CDs to the internal drive not MP3 CDs.

2010 Ford Fusion Navigation Upgrade
komondor replied to talehman's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
Why would you want a factory nav vs an aftermarket? Most aftermarket have more features and less restrictions. Go to your local audio shop like car toys. About 500-1K depending http://www.crutchfield.com/g_182350/In-das...n.html?tp=20222 -
I wonder if the idea was at one time to use a CD cartridge for the changer that would fit in there?

any1 looking to buy a slighty used FFH?

If you got X plan with the tax rebates you could be making money? It was at least 3K? -
Glad it worked out for you. I think someone should start a rebate business. You get a bunch of credits for buying a Hybrid from State and federal but you have to wait to get them. if you could sign over your rebate for a fee and get the cash up front ti could work out pretty well.

I believe you are correct it is the lifetime of the unit not your lifetime. That is the catch! You can of course just use the jack in front of the dash to play your receiver! Not the best solution but you could also add the car as a second receiver too if you are going to use the other someplace else?

No problem I work in tech support and one thing you learn overall over 50% of appliance calls involve no power to appliance due to not plugged in or tripped breaker. So the obvious thing to check is that there is power. I have had PCs that were unplugged, monitors turned off and monitors set to input #2.

I just checked the Ford Site they no longer have X plan prices for 2010 Fusions so I am not sure what is going on. Kudos to all the dealers willing to sell cars at a discount rather than trying to take advantage of people!

My local Denver dealer would not take X plan and wanted to charge me 1K over sticker I declined
