Do you have quiet start enabled? Turn that off and see if it makes a difference for you. -

Figuring out the right tire pressure to use

I haven't! -
How did you lock the door if the battery was dead?
-
I should add that mine wasn't updating, but said "Sync Performing Scheduled Maintenance" and then had a progress bar below like you described. Like this:
-
I was getting this message for awhile and thought nothing of it until it picked up in frequency and then I got the Black Screen of Death. APIM failure. Hope that isn't your issue.

I don't have Sync 3 so can't help, but I don't even understand what your question is. I have updated my maps, but the unit would still work fine without updating. I have never had an issue where the GPS wouldn't display at all. Sorry, I can't help, hopefully someone else will point you in the right direction.

The last time you fueled up it was $2.703 and today you paid $2.599. That would be a savings of 10 cents. Last time I fulled up I got 93.54 mpg not using any of your fuel saving techniques. :)

Figuring out the right tire pressure to use

I think the complaints were from Energi owners. The battery icon has a mileage range on it and people complained because they didn't always get what the estimate showed. They took that est. as fact when they shouldn't.

Tire Rack Reviews: Energy Savers: Wet Performance 7.3 [7.4 Hydroplaning Resistance, 7.2 Wet Traction] Winter/Snow Performance 5.0 [5.9 Light Snow Traction, 4.6 Deep Snow Traction, 4.5 Ice Traction] Defenders: Wet Performance 9.0 [9.0 Hydroplaning Resistance, 9.0 Wet Traction] Winter/Snow Performance 7.7 [8.4 Light Snow Traction, 7.6 Deep Snow Traction, 7.1 Ice Traction] I will take the safety of the Defenders over MPG's of the Energy Savers... :arrive_alive:

When did I compare worn out Energy Savers to New Defenders? As stated I haven't had them on long enough to compare. I know the mileage will take a hit, but the ES tires did not do very well in the rain or snow since I purchased the car which is why I didn't go with them again. You still haven't answered my question on why Ford doesn't put 50Psi on the door since this is the best Psi for the highest MPG.
-
I'm still waiting to hear why Ford wouldn't put 50Psi on the door sticker if that is going to yield the best possible MPG's. I would assume Ford would want the max MPG rating to advertise. They obviously are using 35Psi for a reason. Getting back on track. I just replaced my OEM tires with 71,189 miles on them. I went with Michelin Defenders. I haven't had them on long enough to have a strong feeling yet, but drove home in a pretty good rain last night and it was like night and day from the Michelin Energy Savers. Looking forward to see how they handle the snow this winter.

I have a 2015, but is this what you are looking for? (The range in the white boarder box?)

Vehicle Health Report
Timewellspent replied to ceilidhdog's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
Were you able to find it? Not sure if your screen the same as my 2015, but I hit the gear icon on bottom of screen, then selected Vehicle from the left options and then VHR. On the next screen there is the miles options and an On/Off reminders option. -

I believe there is a setting where you can select a reminder to the VHR based on 3 different mileage options. I think on that same screen you can disable the reminder. I will take a look when I get in my car with more detail if you don't find it before then. -
Do you notice any changes with the update from A9 to A10? Are new roads/speeds listed correctly? Did POI's change?

2014 FFH SE HVAC Controls stopped beeping

I looked when I went home last night. There are separate settings to turn on/off the tones for both My Ford Touch and the panel below.
