  1. https://www.osseoford.com/new/Ford/2015-Ford-Fusion+Energi-850455ec0a0a006456b77a6f1a652f72.htm 5400 miles https://www.vistaoxnard.com/used-Oxnard-2015-Ford-Fusion+Energi-Titanium-3FA6P0SU1FR245653 688 miles Would give anything for the brown one. Neither dealer responding to my requests for some reason. Thoughts on what to offer? Would have to be insane price for me to bite. But I don't see these ever selling at this point unless a rarity like myself shows interest. Any input? Thank you in advance! My apologies this was posted in Hybrid forum and not in Energi forum. Don't think my sign in name works in Energi forum.
  2. All good points. And you're probably correct. But too much of a risk for how much I'll be driving it. If I wasn't going on the road for constant 1100 mile road trips right after purchase, I'd be all in. (I've had rental cars break down on me) I looked at the one in my thread in person and it seemed mint. But to add the highest extended warranty, which I assume I'll need driving 30k plus miles a year pushes it too close price wise to a new one. I know the Fusion Hybrid isn't the best for long distance/highway driving MPG wise, but they still get mid/high 30's and well I'm not a diesel fan. My choices are limited in my price range. My Fiesta 1.0 is too small, the Focus seems just a smidge larger and not worth it to upgrade. The Fusion compared to both is HUGE and seems like it would be very comfortable on long trips. Which is what I want. BTW I'm a Ford fan so..............not buying anything else. Good luck to the OP. Seems like a very nice vehicle.
  3. Wow that car in white is spectacular! And very low mileage! Looks like a great car. I'd try to find out the previous owner/s if you can. The one that I was looking at had 2 previous owners, one being a fleet company. So I'm passing on it. Too risky with all the miles I'll be putting on it right from the get go. I could get an extended warranty, but that's another $1500 for the highest mile one. In addition to the car. If I wasn't going to drive so much, I'd probably go for it. But I'll be a 30k a year driver it looks like. Now trying to see how low I can get a new Fusion S Hybrid, 2015 or 2016. It looks in great shape sans the curb rash. (Older driver??) I wonder how much they'll negotiate? Good luck! Great looking car for sure!
  4. Thanks! For Flood Ford, your car has to still be under factory warranty. I tried them first as their reputation and pricing is very popular from what I understand. But a no go. :( Does the factory warranty start when you purchase the vehicle? I guess I can check with the dealer to see if it's still valid. EDIT: Just received the email below. I would like to thank you for your interest in a 2012 Fusion Hybrid in our inventory. In answer to your questions the remaining warranties are as follows: Bumper to Bumper: 3months/14,370miles Hybrid: 63months/78,370miles Drivetrain: 27months/38,370miles Emissions: 63months/58,370miles Corrosion: 27months/Unlimited mileage These warranites are based on a starting mileage of 21,630 miles. As far as previous ownership goes, the vehicle has had two previous owners who have been listed as Commercial/Lease. It is not showing use as a Rental vehicle. If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me. So it still have 3 months left with the warranty. That's pretty important. Will probably be sold by the time I get back from my trip!!
  5. Wow thanks for the Magnum PI type investigating! I wouldn't have thought to look that up! Yea they are a fleet service, so it wasn't a regular owner for sure. Maybe not a rental car, but something different than a standard 1 owner personal vehicle. Which stinks and is a red flag. If I wasn't going to drive it so much right off the bat, I probably wouldn't worry about it too much. I did look up extended warranty and surprisingly I can still get one. (Though it's possible the car is still under warranty as it's a 2012??) $1610 for 5yr/75k from Lombard Ford. I believe there is also a warranty on the batteries and drive train that's still good till 100k?? I can't remember the name, but there's a service out there that's better than Carfax. I remember it was on 60 Minutes that found damage that Carmax never listed. I may try to find that one and look it up. Gets expensive if you use it on every car though. This is very tempting, especially with the lower price, but also a risk with that red flag. Ugh. Thanks for the info!
  6. Thanks for the offer to check it out! I actually took the 90 minute trip from Alexandria, VA today where I'm staying to take a look. As you know it was an absolute perfect day here, so I didn't mind the longish drive nor the Route 66 traffic haha! Stupid question, but how do you know it was a rental car? I don't have my glasses and when I blow up the window sticker, it becomes mush so I can't read it. Is that a sure thing? Does the dealer have to divulge that info if I ask? As for the car, I was very impressed with the exterior condition. I didn't bother getting a sales person to get the keys as I knew I wasn't leaving with it. I probably should have since they were all standing around doing nothing. But I hate that song and dance with them knowing I'm not buying "today". The paint is perfect, and the surface is very smooth all over. Either it's been garaged, just waxed or both. But very impressive if it's a former rental. The interior looked mint, but that's just through the windows. So while it looked great, that's a let down that it might be a former rental. They probably purchased at auction, and probably like $10k or less. I also noticed they lowered the price today after I got home to $15,995. If I can get over the rental issue, I wouldn't even know where to begin to try and get them down to price wise. I doubt they'll go much lower, but I surely don't want to pay their asking price. Any tips on buying a used car from a dealer? I'm on a trip for the next 2 weeks and when I come back, I'm on the road for the rest of the summer. I can't fathom doing all that driving in my Fiesta, so I'm kind of getting desperate. I definitely like the 2013 models better as they had a few new ones, but not sure I like it $5k more! So we will see. I have 2 weeks to ponder and then it's game on for something else or drive the country shoe horned into my Fiesta! Oh, the highway mpg for the 2012 is what 36mpg? Is that realistic or is it less? I'll be highway driving for the most part, so would want that as a minimum. Probably doing 70mph or less except in Texas and those other states! Thanks for any input!
  7. Hi, I'm considering a very low mileage 2010-2012 Fusion Hybrid. Here is one that I found that's loaded: http://www.sheehyfordwarrenton.com/exotic-used/Ford/2012-Ford-Fusion+Hybrid-4326556c0a0a00020969c96276f7e190.htm?searchDepth=1:1 I'm also considering a new 2015/2015 Fusion S. I'm considering new over used because I'll be driving back and forth from East Coast to the Mid West (1100 miles one way) many times over the next few months. I need something absolutely reliable, which the 2015/2016 would be. But I'd save quite a bit with a low mileage 2010-2012. Anything I should be worried about on the earlier models? Is it possible to get an extended warranty on a used out of warranty vehicle? One big ESP site didn't offer this. Thoughts on these two options knowing I'll be driving back and forth so much and half the time in the middle of no where? Thanks for any advice. I may same in another forum as I know this one is slow.
  8. Yea that is HUGE haha! A very nice savings right there for both time and money. Another thing from reading the non hybrid forums, some/many of those owners are not getting the mpg they thought with their vehicles. In fact some with the 1.5/turbo aren't happy at all. And the 2.0 isn't exactly knocking anyone off their feet MPG wise. I looked into an SE 1.5 and couldn't pull the trigger with so many unhappy at their milage. On other forums as well.
  9. My apologies for getting off track. Thanks for the responses. Good luck to all trying to get into the 600 mile club!
  10. Thanks! I agree with your post on both parts. Although I'm not an early adapter normally, I did buy a 1.0 Fiesta. It's been fantastic, but just too small! I really liked the blue on grey seats on the S I saw today. As long as the seats are the same frame/size etc. I'm more than OK with that as well. I don't play with the seats once I'm settled in. Dang it my only hangup is the Sirius/XM issue! Not sure I can get around that one! Still researching on how to add to a factory radio. Not looking good. Even the best aftermarket satellite radio is a POS in my opinion. Ugh. Oh what was the problem with your 2012 Focus? Transmission issues? I was sooo close to purchasing a 2015 Focus SE loaded exactly how I wanted. Except for the transmission. And reading around on the internet, the DCT is just terrible! IF it wasn't so bad, I was ready to suck it up and get a manual. But I wouldn't touch that transmission in a million years.
  11. Thanks for the info! Anything you miss that the "S" model doesn't have? It's funny you mention the seat color. I like grey better than the black or dune as well. So I think they at least look better. A great combo with the blue. Though I could easily live with black. Dune probably not. So I'm good with color. Do you know if they are the same seats as the SE though? Just wondering if they put something cheaper in there. Good to hear you like them on long trips. That's just what I need! Went by the dealer today that has a blue S Hybrid. It's so new, it hasn't been prepped yet. Plastic everywhere, even on the wheels. The one salesman that was walking by said they just received it. So I doubt they'll be making the same type of deal as if it was on the lot a month or two and need to get rid of it. Still searching around as inventory changes every day, but they really don't make too many blue ones.
  12. Wow thanks for the detailed list! A couple of things stick out: I would miss the compass, but no biggie. Would definitely miss the outside temp indicator. But no end of the world either. I imagine the resale value on these is just terrible though. They are missing a lot of standard features that most would want. I also wonder about the seats. I know they are eco color but wondering if they are different than the SE seats? Aka cheaper and less comfortable? I've never sat in one. I drive nearly 30k a year, so the seats have to be comfortable. Any know if they are just a different color than SE seats? Since there are so few blue ones around, I may have to suck it up and get an S. The other blue ones are loaded and in the $30k range. Way too many options that I don't want. I'd rather have less than more. Only because I'm cheap haha!
  13. Yes that's what I have now and I hate it!! Too small, using a remote stinks etc. That's why I said next car "has" to have Sirius/XM. I have the latest Onyx Plus too. If I'm buying again, just want it in the vehicle radio. I understand it's not an option for the S model, but too bad they couldn't have made it easy to add with some sort of module or something. Besides that, I don't really see anything I would miss with the S. I did notice one brochure said "4 speakers" where as another said 6. I'd hope it would have 6. 4 would be terrible and back to the 80's haha. Another thing is there are hardly any blue FFH's around, but oddly enough 3 in the area are S models. Go figure!
  14. Thanks for the info! There are a few S models in my area that are marked down pretty low for Memorial Day. I can live with no power seats and the other stuff. The ONLY thing that I can't deal with is lack of Sirius/XM. I have an aftermarket radio now on my dash and swore I'd never again buy a car without Sirius/XM installed. I've been searching this site to see if it can be added to the stock S model radio, but it doesn't look like it. That really stinks. I'd even pay a decent amount to add it to the stock S radio after purchase. But doesn't seem to be an option. Ugh. BTW I drive upwards of 30k or so a year so satellite radio is a must!
  15. Wow that's a huge difference! I wonder why the change since the car seems to have grown in size, but they reduce the tank size. That's strange as well. I've found a few low mileage 2010's-2012's. But the asking price is close to a new 2015 Fusion Hybrid S. The "S" model just doesn't have power seats, heated mirrors and Sirius/XM correct? All 3 are on the SE? Any other differences?
