  1. Where can I get those guides! do they just pop up when you need them? Seriously, I wish we had a camera or the front proximity sensors on our car. Dealer says they do not install the proximity sensors and it looks too complicated for me to handle. But all this still does not solve the bottom scraping...car needs the radar of the adaptive cruise control to detect dips and automatically raise the suspension. Probably could also lower the car cruising down the freeway for even better aerodynamics? Ford needs to take care of this if they want me to buy another, and I would be tempted to get an Energi when I trade in my other car. I like not giving cash to the oil companies. We need to get over burning carbon (CO2 up 33% in only 100 years). I think we should save it for making plastics. Solar & storage is the only way to go. Need to take advantage of that plasma ball 93,000,000 miles away.
  2. What can be done about the front end scraping the bottom of its nose so much, beyond trying to drive at an angle at each dip in the road? This has to be one of the worst points of this otherwise nifty vehicle. Maybe there is a way to increase the height of the suspension? This is not about the weird black plastic thing that gets scraped up in front of the tire. The low front and tire air deflector is probably about increasing mpg, but they should at least decrease the noise by using softer plastics there! Do the other Fusions and Lincoln MKZ do this as well? Has anyone replaced the plastic pieces under the front bumper...what was the cost?
  3. This link from ford@email.fordvehicles.com http://social.ford.com/c-max-infographic/?id=5&srccode=312981-021&cks=11875776250&emailid=14q4_ford_xoxd_ev_nl shows Regen mileage in Trip Summary display. I do not remember ever writing this down at my gas fill-ups. Am I missing this on my 2014 FFH?
  4. If you use the fan not on Auto, then you are losing control of the temperature setting, right? Or is Auto only for fan speed and the temperature will be controlled by the system no matter if Auto or Not? The manual says: "AUTO: Press the button to turn on fully automatic operation. Select the desired temperature using the temperature control. The system automatically adjusts fan speed, air distribution, A/C operation, and outside or recirculated air, to heat or cool the vehicle to maintain the selected temperature." It is not clear to me what non-Auto operation does with all the variables, specially temperature control. I adjust the terribly loud high fan speed by raising or lowering the temperature setting while it stays in Auto, but my partner takes it off the Auto setting and chooses the fan speed. Would be nice if the fan noise was suppressed even at its highest speed...must be some way of doing noise cancellation via the audio system? (Future $1000 extra option!)
  5. 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid at 3000 miles, climate control freak out failure problem, manufacture date sept 30?, 2013. Driving in California 95+ temperatures today 1.5hrs, air conditioning suddenly stopped working. Went into a store, turned car back on and noticed outside temp showed -40 and climate control, in manual, showed 35, but at least the a/c came back on and fan speed still worked. Driving car some more, outside temp corrected itself back to actual 100F outside temperature and then, using voice control of climate, was able to set climate control to 70F, but still controlling fan speed manually due to excessive noise/blowing otherwise. Another 4 hours of driving after that. Not a good sign for Ford Quality is job #? :rant2: No recent car washes or rain that could get the sensor wet, maybe a bug hit it? Update 5-31-14: No further freak outs of the climate system to this date. I wonder if not driving in Auto mode could make the A/C not control itself properly? The external air sensor failure does seem most likely, but maybe just a loose connection that would change the resistance or connection quality of the circuit?
