  1. Thanks. It wasn't quiet start but it was another user setting that somehow was changed.
  2. Original owner of a 2014 Hybrid Titanium, 71,000 miles, with remote start in Michigan. Every winter, I use my remote start 20-30 times. Every previous winter, when I use the fob to remote start, the lights blink twice, the battery "whirrs" and then the ICE kicks in a few seconds later. This winter, the lights blink twice, the battery whirrs but then the ICE doesn't kick in. The lights stay on but nothing happens, even after a minute. No ICE, no climate control, just the parking lights on. This happened seven or eight times. Then the next time, the ICE did kick in - once. Then back to it not working. Took it in to the dealer today. First time he did it, the ICE came on. Then it didn't. He said he owns a hybrid, too, and the ICE doesn't always come on. I explained my history with the remote start and he still disagreed. I asked, what's the purpose of a remote start, if the ICE doesn't warm up the vehicle? He said they'd run a diagnostic and see. Well, they ran it and said that everything is functioning and no fault codes. Did something change? Am I missing something? Or is the service department wacky?? Thanks in advance.
  3. Hello all -- '14 HyTi -- all of a sudden, the audio readback of my phone texts is at a very low volume level. The music is playing at a normal level and when a text comes in on my phone and I select to have it read, I can barely hear it. When I adjust the volume on the car audio, it doesn't help. I've looked through the settings and manual and am baffled. Help!
  4. I didn't have a seat recall performed (doesn't apply to my VIN). I swapped out the #65 20 amp fuse but that unfortunately did not get the heat working. Anyone have another idea?
  5. 2014 FFH Titanium -- early December 2013 build -- has the heated/cooled (yeah!) front seats. Last winter my heated seats worked like champs, getting warm fairly quickly. Last time I used them may have been March 2014. The cooled seats worked just as well over the summer. Now the heated seats are not working - neither of them. I have tried on all three heat settings and with the climate control on and off (not that it should matter). It's been a few weeks like this. I recall that when they were working, I used to hear a "click" when they went on and I don't hear that now. I have to believe it must be something with the controls since both have gone out. I will take it in to the dealer, just curious if anyone has any history or thoughts. Thanks!
  6. I stuffed my grill with foam (black foam water pipe insulation from Lowe's) this winter and the foam isn't anywhere near the shutters. The vertical grill supports keep the foam from going in too far.
  7. That feature was added in Nov. '14. I waited an extra six weeks to get the cooled seats and it was well worth it.
  8. Here's a shot of a trip to Toledo -- tried to stay out of EV as much as possible and averaged somewhere around low 60 mph on the highway but as high as 70. Kept the charge as high as possible.
  9. Do you think it makes a difference as you stay in ICE to keep the battery charging as much as possible (arrow up) or does that not matter?
  10. Here's the shot.
  11. In! I had 10 miles left on range.
  12. I picked up the Schumacher 15 amp Charger from Amazon -- $50. Battery was at 68% on a '14 HiTi, five months old, 6,000 miles. Charged to 100% in a little less than an hour.
  13. Absolutely true. But slower is generally safer. My time is worth more than a few bucks an hour but so is my life and those of my family.
