Do you have Adaptive Cruise Control? If so, I believe the radar is located behind that area and the enclosed plastic provides protection.

Yes ....sweet. The 10-way was a bonus because I really only wanted the heated/cooled but happy to have it. -

Here is a good article that describes the playing field and players: http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13746_7-57619829-48/2014s-battle-for-dashboard-supremacy-apples-carplay-vs-googles-oaa-vs-mirrorlink/?part=rss&subj=news&tag=title It appears that Ford is moving along but is keeping options open if another standard breaks out. I am happy about that since I am one of the unfortunate early few that actually bought a Sony BETA system back in the day!

I got my FFH at an OTD price below $36000. Included Moon roof, Active Park Assist, Htd/Cld seats, Htd steering wheel, Adaptive cruise, Nav, Rear Infl Seat Belts, and Driver Assist. This also included the rebate at the time $500 + $750 private cash deal available when ordered. My order sheet states retail for all that incl dest charge of $38,920.

Extended Warranty and Maintenance Plan
Va2014HyTi replied to billford's topic in Owner's Manuals, Warranties and User Guides
Ditto. Since the maintenance plan is almost always an across the board sell by the dealer, the amount they sell it for does not come close to what the FFH maintenance would cost if you do it smartly. I declined (though I tried talking them down from their price) and am SO HAPPY that I did once I settled in and read the maintenance requirements. As hybridbear states above, this car has very little maintenance compared to other non-hybrid/Fusion cars in the years (and # visits) that the maintenance plan would cover. -

Probably more than you want to know but here is some good info on the dots (from Bridgestone): http://www.bridgestonetrucktires.com/publications/ra_v13_i1/PDF/ra_v13i1%20ask%20doc.pdf Basically, "the red dot indicates the “radial force variation first harmonic maximum.” That’s a mouthful, of course, but it’s a way of indicating where the centrifugal force tending to pull the rotating tire away from the wheel is greatest. Another way of looking at it is that in a sense, if the tire were out of round, the red dot would more or less correspond to the “high point” or place where radial runout forces are greatest." You can read the Bridgestone document to see why that it is important to match the wheel's low point with the red dot.

Is there any way to adjust the sound level of the parking aid sensors? These old ears would like to have them a little louder.

From a recent press release ... "Ford previously demonstrated its ability to let owners of its vehicles do retroactive software upgrades to infotainment systems. Now, the company will let owners add a whole new feature set, Sync AppLink, to existing cars. Ford issued a press release today saying that owners of 2010 model year cars will be able to download Sync AppLink and load the app integration system into their cars. As with previous updates, owners should also have the option to let dealers do the software upgrade." Read more: http://www.cnet.com/8301-35289_1-57616498/ford-adding-app-integration-to-3.4-million-cars/#ixzz2pLazw9rH But the real take away line is the following near the end of the article: "Currently, Sync AppLink is not compatible with MyFord Touch, Ford's infotainment system. A Ford spokesperson confirmed to CNET that the upgrade would still not be compatible with MyFord Touch-equipped cars." WTF ?!?!?!??!?

Jeff_h, You are in my neck of the woods. Question for your picture below..... is the traffic overlay always on the Nav map or do you have to have a destination and be executing to it?
