  3. Another update... Car ETA is 6/14... Hopefully it arrives MUCH sooner.
  4. www.Automatic.com My friend showed this to me the other day. I figured I'd share it with the community to get thoughts and opinions. I've yet to get my HyTi, but it seems like the Automatic's driver feedback is similar to what the Fusion offers. But unlike the Fusion, the Automatic's chimes seem to scold you at the moment you mess up. This is supposed to increase the effectiveness of the driver behavior modification. What say you?
  5. Hi! Update! Car was built on 5/25. ETA is TBD. Will update soon. Thanks!
  6. In regard to value and peace of mind... Before ordering my 2013 HyTi Ford Fusion from a dealer in Long Island, I visited one in Brooklyn, NY. I was going to scope out the colors, and the sales dept. folks were too lazy to walk me over to the service department's roof, where a lot of the inventory was maintained. Turned out to be my gain, because I had the chance to get the grand tour from the service manager, who was more than happy to share his more than 30 years of experience with me. He wasn't doing a sales job, and actually outright told me some of the "don't buys" when looking at Ford Vehicles. However, he did advise me to go for the highest level ESP plan. What most people don't realize is that modern cars are 4,000 lb. computers. For example, when you turn the steering wheel, you're not actually turning the wheel. It's more like using a joystick on a video game... You're not directly controlling what you are doing. Computers are translating your motion into electronic information that really turns the wheels. In fact, car companies actually have to install resistors because the steering wheel would move too easily without them. So what does all this mean? Basically the service guy told me all that and then said in the event that drive shaft needed to be changed or replaced, it would be an $11,000 proposition. That sold me on the ESP, 1-2-3. LOL
  7. I bought my first Ford Fusion in 2006 and had the same experience. I bought my ESP from Lombard Ford in CT. My dealer in Brooklyn was trying to scare me into believing that it was some kind of online fraud. Only had to use it once after the bumper-to-bumper expired, but it was a real deal legit ESP from Ford. So don't let your dealer tell you otherwise!
  8. Hi.... Being able to see your rear bumper is actually a REALLY important frame of reference for using the camera while backing up. My friend has a year old Honda CRV... With a backup camera on a 4" inch screen (OEM... small screen... so sad lol)... But in his camera view you CANNOT see the rear bumper of the CRV. This makes the camera almost totally useless for parallel parking, as you can't really tell how far your bumper is from the car behind you. Still good to make sure you're noting to mow over a squirrel or a small child. So seeing that bumper is a very good thing!!
  9. Update on my Fusion... Window sticker finally showed up today. Now you guys are the experts so I need some help... At the bottom of my window sticker is the code: "DE172 N RA 2X""340 004851 05 17 13" So I presume the build date is on or around 5/17/13?
  10. I am getting Deep Impact Blue. I noticed you seemed to get both your orders super quick! Any tips or advice, or was it just luck of the dealer?
  11. Hi Malibu.... My order date was 4/13/13 My VIN is 3FA6P0RU9DR335443 and was provided by the dealer on 5/3/13 No sticker yet.
