After 44K plus miles, I have ffiinnaallyy hit 600 miles. :happy feet: The red low fuel warning (DTE=0?) came on at 11.26 gallons used. Filled up at the pump on slow fueling rate and it clicked of at 11.326. Went two more clicks then rounded up to the nearest nickel (OCD) on the last. Total fuel pumped was 11.723 gallons. Oh, and I recently bumped up tire pressure to 40 psi from 35.

GrySql, I don't post much, but I do read the forum constantly for information to better my Fusion knowledge. You have contributed to that knowledge immensely. Thank you and take care. Ed

Winds were fairly strong out of the south that day in advance of the approaching storms. Trip consisted of 10'ish miles north giving a nice tailwind, then the remainder ~30 was westerly. Temps in the upper 70's. No a/c, driver window partially down, opposite rear passenger partially down. I did throw down the gauntlet to the wife with the same challenge. She managed 55mpg. Pitiful! Less winds, 1 less person in the vehicle and 5 miles less on overall trip. Rookie!! Oh well, she just drives it :shift: while I'm the one to try and eeekkk out every bit of mileage.

The wife challenged me today to get 60mpg on the way home from work. Oh so close!

2013 @ 20,782. Lifetime is at 45.2, never reset. Manual calcs show 43.5. Majority of the time it takes more gas when filling up than what it says it used. Mainly rural 2-lane roads, 60 miles a day.

I too had a weird situation earlier this year. Car started but had no power to the instrument cluster or the Ford Touch display. Next time I started everything seemed fine but yellow wrench symbol. Engineering mode showed same code you are getting. Took it in to have looked at and service department extracted a bunch of "U" codes one of which was U046B:86-08, which looks like the C46B86 that was shown in the DTC ET window. U046B is "Invalid Data Received From Global Positioning System Module". Root cause was never found.

Theory blown. Service department extracted a bunch of "U" codes one of which was U046B:86-08, which looks like the C46B86 that was shown in the DTC ET window. U046B is "Invalid Data Received From Global Positioning System Module".

Gotta love the wamer temps! On way home today from work and 70 deg. :happy feet: Lifetime ticked up a tenth, as well.
-
Hoping to confirm or blow my theory out of the water in the next week or so with a visit to the service department to extract my historical codes.

I too experienced a yellow wrench and now have one of the codes mentioned above in my history (C46B86). I played around with grouping the digits into two's and threes', coverting to hex, trying to make it fit into the normal P#### format. Then one day I was looking at TSB 13-11-11 and it hit me that letters were allowed in the DTC code as well. So, I made the assumption that I what I was seeing was two codes, P0C46 and P0B86 and lo and behold, those are valid codes pointing to the hybrid battery. Made sense to me since this is a hybrid car, but for the validity of the codes to the actual shown in DTC history is still speculation. I did look at the codes Ryan Garcia posted and there are valid codes for all except for the F00.

Well, I had an interesting experience while out running errands today. Leaving my second stop, got in, turned the key and the engine started up. But, dash and MyFordTouch were completely dark; radio wasn't playing either. I was able to drive a short distance to my next stop. Got out, locked her up and when about my business. Leaving, she started up with dash, MyFordTouch and radio working again, but this time I got the big yellow wrench display to "see manual". Pressed okay and proceeded home. When I got home, I went into engineering mode and got the DTC. I have not way of knowing what it means and my code reader doesn't see it. Started her up again and the little yellow wrench is gone, so it looks normal except for the code in ET. Anyone know what this means? ;(

What is your average MPG on your 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid?
13FFH replied to rewster69's topic in Fuel Mileage
44.7 lifetime average after 10K miles. Hoping to not drop too much through the winter. As acdii said before "dang winter blend"! (Just noticed after posting, car lifetime average does not match up with Fuelly) Hhhmmm.- 33 replies

Yes, tank is 13.5 gals. From my very unscientific calculations comparing DTE, MPG and fuel used on the Trip screen, for a couple of instances I calculated the reserve to be roughly 2.5 gallons. When I had the fuel delivery module replaced, I ran the tank down to a low level to drop it off. When the work was finished, the car showed 5 miles to E. I asked if any fuel was lost and was told no. For fun and giggles, and knowing my calculations show roughly 2.5 gals reserve, I drove straight to our regular gas station close to home and 21 miles away from the dealership. And it still only took 12.36 gals of fuel! DTE does not show negative miles to E....stops at zero. Of course, YMMV. :)
