  1. We need to turn off the rear dome light in our 2010 Fusion Hybrid. Unlike the front dome light there is no on/off switch. Is there a way to do this so that we can leave the back door open for several hours at a time and not drain the battery? (Short of pulling the bulb -- which at least one mechanic has said may not in fact prevent battery drain as a result of something called the Body Control Module (or something like that).
  2. We just acquired a 2010 with Navigation. It has the Sync Services option but we have not paid for that service. I'd like to get traffic data for the navigation system and it seems like you have a choice of paying either Sirius/XM $3.00 a month for the data or Sync Services $5.00 per month. Of course it is free on Google Maps and Waze and similar smartphone apps. So, a few questions: - If you install the Inrix app on yor phone does it provide any traffic functionality if you aren't paid Sync subscriber? - Is there some way to use Waze or Google Maps data with the navigation system? - If I'm less than anxious to pay for what is generally available for free am I stuck looking at my phone for traffic data? What I would really like is a car that as a screen that simply displays what's on my phone. All my apps, data, songs, etc. in an interface that I know. And I wouldn't have to pay $2,000 for functionality that Google gives away for free. (Dream on).
