  1. The driver's side dome light that's part of the sunglass storage pod has begun to turn on & off randomly on my 2013 Hybrid SE. I can still touch the light to turn it off, but it comes back on and shuts off at its own will. I suspect I have a bad ground somewhere, but I don't know how to track it down. I wonder if this is related to the dealer-installed illuminated sill plates that are wired to power by routing up the A-pillar, along the headliner and into the dome-light/sunglass pod above the rear view mirror. I popped the sill plate and related molding loose to fiddle with the wires there but couldn't cause the light to respond that way. I don't think it's related to the doors opening/closing because that would cause all lights to behave this way. Oddly enough, it's only that one single light doing weird things. If any of you have any theories I could investigate, I'm all ears. Thanks for any suggestions you can offer.
  2. What did that all cost you? Do you have a link to the specific FOB from Ebay? Thanks!
  3. I broke the original FOB where the key itself inserts into the FOB mechanism. Just wondering if anyone here has had luck with aftermarket, budget, Amazon-style replacements. The buttons still function on the FOB, so the circuitry is good; I just need to replace the key itself. I'd rather not pay Ford a zillion dollars for an OEM replacement. Here's an example: https://www.amazon.com/2013-2016-Fusion-Keyless-N5F-A08TAA-164-R7986/dp/B07MRZWWGV/ref=pd_cp_263_1/142-2542515-0480627?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B07MRZWWGV&pd_rd_r=b6a67411-f944-4e67-b221-593187e38e1b&pd_rd_w=UjzEO&pd_rd_wg=OoorH&pf_rd_p=0e5324e1-c848-4872-bbd5-5be6baedf80e&pf_rd_r=CSRXWBTRERGHG9ZKZ3WC&psc=1&refRID=CSRXWBTRERGHG9ZKZ3WC Any insights would be appreciated.
  4. Kim, you nailed it. I'd looked there but failed to notice the scroll bar that reveals more options below the bottom of the screen. I know I could not possibly have accidentally browsed to that section and turned that option off. I'm guessing either the dealer's update reset it or the service tech deliberately turned it off. Either way, it's back to normal now. Thanks for your help!
  5. My car is a 2013 FFH w/ navigation and the full MFT dash setup. I had my car in for warranty service (tranny leak, which is still leaking!) a few weeks ago, and ever since then the buttons on the dash below the MFT/NAV screen no longer make any sound. I think they did an update on the MFT system while they had the car. If I access the same functions (HVAC Temp, fan setting, etc.) via the MFT screen, the tones are still present and functioning. Did I unknowingly do something to cause this? Is it a bug, or Is this all in my imagination and somehow those tones were never actually present (I swear they were there before!)? How can I get those button tones to come back on? Any help would be appreciated.
  6. Hybridbear, does your car allow it? Without regard to what other cars can do, the buttons on my car indicate that it is allowed. Therefore, I would expect that it's by design, even if mine isn't performing it correctly. I think we have pretty much the exact same car. Does yours do weird things like mine, with the system set as I described? I don't know if there's a correlation, but it seems to be malfunctioning most often when the outside temperature is cold (under 40ish degs F). But I don't know. Even in manual mode, it has a mind of its own.
  7. I have a '13 FFH SE with the navigation/"infotainment" system. I've had a Ford service shop look at this issue twice now, and they claim it's by design. I'm calling BS. The vent that blows from the top of the dash onto the windshield "puffs" gusts of air intermittently under the following conditions: -Temperature set to 64 degrees +/- 2 (dual zone off) -Fan speed set to 4 bars -Airflow position set to Windshield plus the dash and/or floor What happens is that the vent to the windshield opens for an instant, pushing a gust of air to the windshield, and then the vent closes. This happens anywhere from every few seconds to every few minutes on an arbitrary interval. Sometimes it only happens once or twice over the course of a half-hour drive. I'm told by the Ford service rep (who directly corresponded with a Ford engineer) that the windshield vent is what is used by the car's system to regulate the cabin temperature even when the system is not in auto mode. Apparently there is a temperature sensor which monitors the cabin temperature and works in conjunction with the windshield vent to regulate the cabin temperature. This phenomenon is an annoyance and is either a malfunction (which I suspect is the case) or an indication of a poor design. Have any of you heard of this before, and if so, do you know of a cause/solution? Thanks for your help!
  8. Some more info here. I just pulled into a parking spot and put the car in park. I have not moved the ignition key, and the car is still running. The MFT clock has stalled while the dash cluster clock is still ticking along. So all I did was put the car in park, and that caused the MFT clock to stall. If only actual time would stand still, I could vastly improve my overall productivity. This is not the first bug I've found. So far this MFT system is extremely amateur.
  9. I just noticed that mine is doing this exact same thing. I logged in here, and lo and behold here's this thread. Anyone found the cause and cure?
  10. Any Titanium owners with the Bose system here who can comment on whether this problem persists with the upgraded audio?
  11. Thanks for doing that. Those mats definitely cover FAR better than the OEM all-weather mats.
  12. That would be mighty kind if you would do that. Thanks!
  13. neod192, for some reason I can't get the pictures to load. Perhaps that forum requires login in order to view the pics.
  14. Do you run your climate system on the defrost setting frequently? The defrost setting may run the AC system even if you haven't deliberately turned it on. Just a thought. I haven't fiddled with many of these screens on my car yet.
  15. I'm disappointed with the factory all-weather mats. The driver's side mat only covers a small portion of the carpet. I'm looking for a fitted floor mat that covers all the way up under the pedals. Does anyone here know if the Weathertech Digitalfit mats for the 2013 FFH cover the entire floor on the driver's side? http://www.weathertech.com/ford/2013/fusion/floorliner-digitalfit/transmission-auto-or-manual-question/automatic/
