I have a foam piece that fits two growlers and wedges in the thin part between the battery compartment and the back end. So far so good, no spillage!

Keizer here. Where is Atascadero?

The 42 days I really only drive about 25 miles at speed, the rest is in either slower or stop and go traffic. When I hit that section of the five my average goes way up. Honestly, the traffic is the reason I got the Hybrid and not the gas version. Figured with gas I'd get less than 20 in those section and just be doubly miserable... At least with the Hybrid even though I'm miserable because of traffic, at least I can try to keep it in EV and keep the disastrous mpg's pegged! It's the little things in life that amuse me! :-)

My commute is from Keizer to Beaverton 37miles, mostly on I5 and my average is below on Fuelly. I've had the car for less than a month and have done a lot of demos for people which normally hurt my mpg because We're sitting to show off features.
so far my best one way commute was 42.7mpg and worst was about 32 in a rain storm. I normally set Eco cruise between 68-72 on I5 and hit traffic in the Metro area so I take over.
My best trip if any distance was across Salem from way South to North Keizer and got 57.7mpg. All city driving and doing my best to stay in Ev when possible.

MX I live in Keizer and commute to Beaverton everyday. Only have a 3 week sample size in my MyTi and most of my driving is on I5 at 65-72mph. I've noticed that rain and colder weather are a major drain on mpg's, this past week I've dropped 3-4 mpg on my trip average. That being said for short trips It's all over the place and it has much to do with the battery being warm or not. If it's cold the car doesn't run in EV so mpg is VERY low, but if you take a shorter trip when the battery is warm, EV mode should be available right away and you'll be able to achieve great mpg's (usually).
All in all my computer is showing an average of about 37, since I've only fueled up 2x my Fuelly score is a little better than what the computer says. We will see as I'm going to go fill up again in just a few minutes.

I've too have noticed the aggressive drag or more likely regen when you get off the throttle above 30mph, below that it seems to coast with little drag.

Not sure if this applies in this topic or I should start my own, but when I listen to Podcasts it actually shows just the name of the first mp3 I have on my device. But that's not all, if I'm listening to a Podcast when I turn the car off, the next time I get in it continues from where I left off only at this point it shows all the Podcast information on MFT.
I'm using a Galaxy s3 with the Podcast Addict app.

hmm, do the TPMS could throw a wrench into my plans... Will they still work if I just add spacers? Maybe I just need to stop by a customs shop to have a professional take a look?
-
I should clarify, I have the Titanium with the standard 18" machine finished rims. they would look so much better if I could get them flush with the wheel wells, but I don't know how far they'd need to go?
-
Anyone added spacers to the 2013 Fusion to make them flush with the edge of the wheel wells?

I finally made it!! Well actually we picked it up yesterday 5/4 but I've been in it every minute since then so I haven't had a chance to update the Forum!
Car was delivered to the dealer on the exact day the dealer quoted (after the build) April 30th. I unfortunately didn't have a chance to go get her until this Saturday May 4th. Time to retire the Ol' Civic, we sold it today to a family member so if we ever need to visit we know where to go (but I don't see that happening).

For me it was replacing a tiny two door Civic with a MUCH bigger Sedan and keeping the same or better mpg. That, and the Ruby Red!!

Funny, I just asked this question in another thread. Was hoping to get clarification, dealer said it is a downhill assist. Which will basically use the engine and the brakes to keep you at a set speed when going downhill. I was actually hoping it would increase automatic regen when driving like the Tesla's do, I suppose in a Hybrid that wouldn't help too much.

Maybe a current owner can help me out with a couple things?
1) The Ford emblem on the front of the car. Does out have a little play in it? When you put pressure on one side, does it wiggle a little?
2) What does the little rocket button in the shifter do? Isit helpful? I'd never Sseen it in the Hybrid nor have I heard mention of it in any reviews I've seen. In fact never even saw it in the SE version I test drove.

I did write my initials in the dust on the top.
After I left I thought maybe I should have turned it on and taken a picture of the Odometer, probably read 0._.

What a day, it started out by finding out my rail car was delivered to it's destination. Which after a little searching I found out wasn't too far from my office, so at lunch I thought hey why don't I see if I can go get a glimpse of my rail car and maybe if I'm lucky I'll see a car that looks like mine and I can take a picture of it.
Well after getting to the yard, outside the fence and unable to see anything I had this random car come out and the guy introduced himself. We started talking and I told him who I was and what I was doing. He thought that was pretty cool that I'd go thorough all that trouble so he got me inside and offered to check where my car was out of the 2,000+ on the lot and in the rail cars. He said it's more than likely inside a rail car and since they're at capacity won't be unloaded for a few days... But low and behold after a quick search of their database, he looks down at a piece of paper on his desk and points to my VIN then says it's being offloaded right now.
So I put on the Orange safety vest and he grabs one of his guys to show me the rail car and said to let me take some pictures of the rail car. Well his worker must have heard more than that because I got to take pictures of my car inside the rail car (who gets to see that)! Then we walked around the lot for a few minutes and he explained how and why they do things, I ended up getting a full on behind the scenes tour. Then I look up and my car is coming right for us, pulls into the spot right in front of us (like it was planned that way).
Needless to say I was impressed by everything not just my car but the logistics and shear numbers they move through that lot daily 365. What made it even better is that I got to sit in my own car and take pictures even before the dealer knew it had arrived. In fact a few hours later my dealer sent me a text saying they didn't have it yet, so I emailed about my experience and they thought that was pretty cool.
So I wanted to give a shout out on here for the rail yard workers of America (I can't say which one I was at because they said over and over that they were breaking all sorts of rules by doing this)! You guys do amazing work and even though you're stressed and running at full capacity you take the time to entertain a super nerd like me. THANKS!!

Wow, so sad. Doesn't look like my first order was even built yet. Luckily I was able to find another dealer who had one coming with all the same options, so it looks like I'll be driving the new car in the next couple days. Hope your's is ahead of schedule Toz!

I think this is true. My dealer wanted to sell me the 7/75K ESP w/ $100 deductible for $2.5K. Price @ floodfordesp.com is like $1K. Ridiculous. I told the finance manager why his price why so high. His only answer was that the dealer I was getting the lower price from was most likely getting a kickback from ford to sell these. As if they were not!
From that moment he didn't offer me anything else, which was fine by me because I only spend like 10 minutes with him. He did get me 1.29% for my financing, after I told him I had 1.7% secured with Penfed. Not sure if I made the right decision by taking the 1.29% since the impact to my monthly payment is neglectable, and I know they just basically sold the loan to some credit union I don't know about. But I'm happy with my new HyTi. :happy feet:
They got you 1.29%, seems really good for a Hybrid. Can you share any info about it, i.e. term of loan, how much financed? I'm hoping to take delivery this week and best I found was 1.99% through my Credit Union.
Btw, which dealership did you use? I'm at Landmark and it'd be nice to know how to handle those finance manager's!

What's up with that LA and NY get deliveries super fast, the rest of us it seems to take 2.5-4 weeks. You guys are spoiled!
-
LASooner, what state are you in? Would like to add it to the spreadsheet.
You just want to know because he's likely close to you and you want to see how long it takes from build to delivery in your area... Well me too, I've been taking every car that comes to Oregon. :-)
-
I sure hope so! I've tracking it like crazy, so much so that I have notes for each stop it's made along the wary. I figure it will go in the scrap book after the pictures of my first born.
Glad you got your car, sorry to hear it had to go back right away. Hope that's an easy fix! Ours were built very close to one another so I'll be very curious of what you find out.
Well my car left Bend today just before 3p and it's 217 railroad miles (non-stop, I hope) to the white flag!
-
Mine checked in to the rail yard in Bend, OR this morning at 4am. Still has to travel another 163 miles to Portland. I'm hopeful that I'll get lucky and have it by early next week. I'm ok with having the second Ruby HyTi in the US! Congrats on getting yours today, of course we DO want pics!!

1.99% up to 72mo from my credit union. Asking Ford if they can beat it before my car arrives.

Interesting thoughts on the fuel control module leaking. From day 1 I've noticed that Fuelly reports about 2 mpg less than the computer on every fill up. Could this be a sign of a leaky fuel line, or is that pretty consistent for other Fuelly users on this forum?
