I was there as well. Made a case for more HyTi wheel selection and HIDs also.
-
IMO give the MKX a good look at too.

What brought about getting a Lincoln MKT? That's a totally different vehicle.
-
So, will it be known as the HyTi, or the TiHy?
HenryVIII replied to acdii's topic in Lounge - Off Topic Discussion
Seems like it's called the Titanium Hybrid so TiHy got my vote. But really it doesn't matter. It's NOT a Prius! ;) -
Jeff, I also want to see how this vehicle performs OFF the winter gas. That will be the most telling feature in my opinion. Am I keeping score? Somewhat. I want to see how the car is performing over time. And I'm noticing more 40+ mpg users pop up. That's a good sign.

Seems like Fuelly's average is going up. I'm getting roughly 37.8 mpgs tallying up the reported mileage divided by the number of members (not counting the N/A person).

Looks like you own one of the "runts of the FFH litter". It happens unfortunately. There's some over-achievers and under-achievers. My recommendation, if you aren't satisfied get another car. Have it tested and verified by the dealership before taking ownership. Have it in writing. I think it's awesome that your dealership is willing to work with you. They value you as a customer above all else. Understand it's also really hard for Ford to do something about it right now when the car is still very much new and they are still gathering real world data. Try to look at it from their shoes. We all know that's why they have TSBs and recalls. So if you want to keep your car, I think you'll just have to be patient as much as it sucks.

Well I took an average of all the Fuelly individuals and came up with 36.8 average mpg. I really wonder what the average will be with more reported individuals and more fill ups, along with better weather and spring/summer gas.

6 to 9 month wait? Might as well wait for he 2014 model to come out lol! I would go to another dealer.

For 2013 Fusion Hybrid Titanium buyers and future buyers

This. Although for me wheels are important on a car. I prefer to have wheels that compliment the looks of a car and feel that these Ti wheels seriously fail to deliver in that regard. However, having a set of winter and summer wheels isn't a bad idea either. -
I can't do that in my Corolla. :( That's why I have Sirius in it. iPod adapter (FM transmitter type) is terrible on the factory radio and it's not worth upgrading the radio in it. Gotta love the listening options that are available to you in today's vehicles. And it calms you down, makes you enjoy the journey instead of getting all worked up trying to get somewhere or get to work.

Ah okay. How's the cargo net? It's not like the floormats is it? -
I have found that Sirius satellite radio has definitely calmed me down from road rage. No more flipping of stations whenever a commercial break comes on. Tired of listening to a genre of music? There's lots more to choose from!

Here's the other things about the competitors, they're all vanilla. Safe? Yes. Dependable? Got it. Boring? You bet! That's my opinion at least coming from a Toyota owner.

Nice aftermarket wheel selection! If you're going to go that route I would probably recommend purchasing lightweight wheels, Sparco, OZ and other brands come to mind. I would probably keep it under 25lbs imo. -
There are savings in gas, especially with longer commutes. The Hybrid gets better mileage than the 1.6L EB, has fairly similar performance compared to the 1.6L EB, and I can order the Hybrid in Titanium package unlike with the 1.6L EB. The difference in price will pay for itself in probably around 2 maybe 3 years (Pricing out a loaded 1.6L SE vs loaded Hybrid Titanium). My tailored fuel economy comparison and what I'm looking at. http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/Find.do?action=sbs&id=33083&id=20796&id=33086&id=33280 Even if the fuel economy isn't at 47 mpg for the Hybrid (which I think it will be closer come spring/summer time), fuel savings is still better than even what I'm currently driving. And it has the same performance! lol

Thanks jeff_h. I think the EPA wants to keep a standard and consistency across any and all vehicles. Makes sense IMO. Solidifies Ford's testing if the review comes back clean.

Could someone please copy and paste the article for me? I tried 2 browsers and neither come up. Might be something at work blocking it.

Link isn't working.

Build Titanium Hybrid or Energi on website

Thank you for the heads up! Sorry that you had the find out the hard way. I currently have Weathertechs in my Corolla and love them, except that they are tan and look dirty lol! I'll just save the money and get a set of Weathertechs instead! -
The Ford build site has it with only a single chrome tipped exhaust. Same as the Hybrid SE models.

It just seems like buying a fully loaded Hy-Ti model makes the most sense. Did you just keep off Park Assist, Navigation, or a different option? I came up with $37,550 with every option and throwing in all weather floor mats lol! -

It's official. Hybrid Titanium buyers will only have 1 wheel option. That's it. very stupid and lame IMO. :rant2: -
Good to hear and hopefully this proves to be true in the coming months when it warms up. Please keep us posted!

I no longer use waxes. Instead I use sealants. Sealants provides a MUCH LONGER lasting gloss over waxes. I use Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant from Autogeek.net: http://www.autogeek.net/wg5500.html and http://www.autogeek.net/wolfgang-deep-gloss-spritz-sealant.html for when I'm lazy. It lasts months! Especially when I use the buffer w/pour bottle on my first major strip and detail and then use the spray bottle for maintenance after a few weeks. Just using 1 coat of sealant it will keep your car looking like new for about a month without washing (winter roads [salty roads] being the exception). I recommend Autogeek as their service and shipping are top notch. Even if you don't use Wolfgang, they offer other alternatives at different price margins. Highly recommended!
