  1. I have a 2013 Fusion and I have only had one item go wrong which was part of a recall (Door Latch). I only have just over 70K miles and I bought the vehicle new. So I am probably not much help as mine has been rock solid from day one.
  2. I would check with your auto insurance company. I know we pay around $4 or $5 dollars for 6 months to have it on our policy. We are currently using GEICO, but I am sure they are all about the same.
  3. Coming up on 5 years on my 2013. 65K miles. I assume the first indication I will get will be when I desperately need to go somewhere and the car will be dead. I am thinking about replacing anyways as 5 years appears to be a pretty good like on an OEM battery.
  4. This thread on another forum details what it takes to get you park assist working after the upgrade to sync 3. I suspect 4dtech doesn't provide this because the Park Assist Module (PAM) is not part of the parts they sell you. it is a long thread and includes a lot of information. Might be of interest. http://www.2gfusions.net/showthread.php?tid=6712&pid=99434#pid99434
  5. Aquidneck, I was interested in the 4dtech conversion, but they state I will lose my park assist functionality. I found your link in the 3rd post above very interesting as they have a link off of that for how to program to get Park Assist and other Park Assist features. I wonder why 4dtech has not incorporated that capability in what they are selling. I think someone on this forum has done the conversion, at least I remember them posting about it.
  6. My 2013 is the same way, Sprays low, but has been this way from day one. I should have taken it in when I first got it but did not. I don't see anyway to adjust it either. The wipers do tend to spread it up a bit but i would rather it spray up to the halfway point.
  7. Well, I encountered a hail storm back in July in Texas. In addition to some surface dings, the third brake light was damaged. The plastic top at the corner is cracked with a quarter size piece gone. I am wondering what the procedure is to replace the part myself. Looking at it I think that the headliner has to come down, am I correct? Does anybody have the service manual and can give me a brief outline of the steps? Appreciate any help. Tom Clemmer
  8. Our local news station (Dallas/Fort Worth) ran this piece about the different types of glass being used in side windows. It appears that laminated glass is being used more and more as an added safety feature. The video shows how hard it is to break a laminated glass window. http://www.nbcdfw.com/investigations/Type-of-Glass-in-Your-Cars-Windows-Could-Change-Escape-Plan-206353031.html
  9. After 18 months of ownership I finally had a 600+ mile tank. It was a lot of work staying off the freeway. When I filled the car up I was able to put 12.2 gallons in so I could have gone a bit further.

  11. Interesting. I ran into this issue just last week. The nozzle had the gap. Of course, who looks that close at the nozzle. When it came time to remove the nozzle it would not come out. It was catching. I was getting pretty rough with it until I figured out what was going on. I was able to just reach in with an index finger and push the flap away from the nozzle and it came out. Kind of scary when it happens.
  12. This probably doesn't help but mine does have the resonator and the build date is 5/16/2013. I was all set to order the part and then I thought I better go out an look. I was disappointed to see it already had it as I feel like the ICE is loud for such a nice car. Tom
  13. I understand the space issue. Our kids are grown and I can see when the wife and I travel with two sets of golf clubs and the other related items, there is not much room for kids and thier stuff. Our second car is the Ford Edge (Wife's car). It is our second one, had a 2007, now we have a 2012. We love the edge and I think it is one of the best Crossovers out there. I was able to get pretty good MPGs with the edge last summer on a trip around New Mexico. One tank was 30.6 MPGs. Good luck on your decision.
  14. My story is somewhat similar, altough I did not have any issues with my 2009 Jetta TDI. Drove it four years and just shy of 50K. Averaged around 40-41 for the vehicle. Paid around 22k for the Jetta and got 13.5K trade in after 4 years, not bad. I was getting worried with all the High Pressure Fuel Pump failures. It appears to be a 8K expense, while VW was covering the issue for now, I just did not want that headache. I like the FFH and enjoy driving in EV so much that an electic vehicle is actually appealing to me. maybe one day. The FFH is so far a great car even though I only average around 40mpg. Tom
  15. Yep. I watched him do it. He created the account and put in the VIN. We will have to log back and and see if anything has changed. Then I think there may be a chat option somewhere. Thanks for letting me know that, at least in your case, it appears a second owner shuld have some complementary sync services. Tom
