Cool Fusion Key Trick/Tip!

Recommended Posts

I would have mentioned this a long time ago, but figured nobody would care.

Then I showed a coworker and hooked him on this trick. I love it!

So I love the push button start and proximity key, but I hate having to figure

out what to do with it when driving (it's big!). In particular, I hate having it jammed in

my pocket when hot or when driving, it's uncomfortable and if I take it

out, I easily forget where it is sometimes.

I discovered the small S-Binder clips from Niteize. 1" size is good.

Home Depot and other places sell them or you can buy from Amazon or atbatt.com

I got in the habit of clipping the key to my belt when out and about

and in the car, you don't have to worry about it when driving, it's

always with you.

I happened to give one to a coworker who just got a car with push button

start and he immediately loved it. Thought others would too. I could

not have a car with a regular key again!

Its not really a key anymore, its a remote control.

With push button start, make sure you know how to turn the car off while driving. Why would you ever want to do this? -- The California Highway Patrolman killed with his family in a Lexus with a jammed accelerator didn't know you had to hold the button for 3 seconds while underway.

There have been reports of thieves using an electronic RF relay system where one person stands near you and with a device mimics the car and transmits the data to another device possessed by a second person near your car making the car think you are standing next to it. This is done in parking lots and stores. Car manufacturers were working to correct this problem.
