Door Keypad Code Location

Does anybody know where to find the keypad code for a 2010 Fusion Hybrid??? I'm not looking for the answer "go to the dealer", I know the code is somewhere in the car, on 2008 and 2009 fusions it is under the dash above the fuse panel on the drivers side but not on the 2010 Hybrid. I bought my Fusion slightly used and the previous owner cannot find the card that has the code on it.... Thanks!!!!

See page 113 of the Owners Guide. It is not on the car. It is on a card supplied with the car. A dealer can provide it. You should have and read all the manuals and cards that come with the car.

I have the 2010 Sport, and I'm not sure if the hybrid is different in this regard (the owner's manual is different.) But my manual also says the code is only on the card in the glovebox. I know for a fact though that it's written on a sticker under either the driver or passenger side dash. The dealer had to hunt for it because they couldn't find the card when I took delivery.

thanks for the replies guys but I KNOW THAT IT IS ON THE SUPPLIED CARD THAT I DON'T HAVE, and please don't tell me that I should have read the manual, that is sooooooooo basic.... you are correct Moosehead, the factory puts it on a tag somewhere in the car, they have on all the Lincolns and Fords that I have owned over the years dating back to the mid 90's, and it is in all the Fusions through 2009, they have moved the location in 2010, that's what I want to know.... the dealer usually wants around $100 to tell you what the code is because they know where to get it.... any help would be appreciated....

If the vehicle was purchased from the dealership then they should provide the card or the code from the computer at no charge. If it was purchased from an individual or used car lot, they should help you get the code. If you go into a dealership that doesn't know you from Adam, they should charge you to locate the code. JMO nothing H about it.

There is no information that it is in or on the car. In the past, Ford owners guides have indicated where it was displayed. The FFH guide does not. This may be a security issue.

Since the code must be hidden in the car, I suggest that you dismantle your slightly used 2010 Fusion Hybrid until you find the hidden code. Now it may cost you an arm and a leg to re-assemble your slightly used 2010 Fusion Hybrid after you find the code, but hey, everyone else here on the forum could benefit from knowing where you found the hidden code.

 

Sorry if this was more basic useless dribble. I am just trying to help.

You could be right lolder, I found in another forum that they may have stopped hiding the sticker on 2010 Fusions..... On 2009 and previous Fusions the code is on a sticker above the brake pedal by the fuse box on a module, not easily found as you have to lay on your back with your head under the dash but it's there.... i'll post if I find any other solution.... I guess it's not a big deal anyway, I can't recall ever using the keypad on any previous Ford or Lincoln's that i have owned.... Thanks....

Why not? It's a very handy feature - getting into the vehicle without the keys or leaving your keys in the vehicle when you don't want to carry them.

I agree. My two Ford vehicles have keyless entry, and I use them all the time when I need to get into either vehicle and don't have the keys. It's a no brainer!

If you want to leave the car unoccupied and running (illegal in some states) with the heat or AC on, you can only lock and unlock it with the keypad or wireless remote. I figure with a full tank, it'll run a week that way. It's a waste of fuel but a nice option.

Who said anything about leaving the car unoccupied and running? On a side note, just to clarify that in some states it is illegal to leave the car unoccupied and running with the key in the ignition.

 

The keypad is a great feature, it's wonderful to walk up to the door and pop my truck!

Just to throw my 2 cents in... I LOVE the keyless entry. Being stationed on a military base I feel perfectly comfortable just locking my keys in the car when I go in to fly (that way I don't lose them in the plane or in some other city). I just assume I am less likely to have my window smashed on base than in a WalMart parking lot. That being said, I never lock my keys in the car off base.

There is no key code posted on any sticker on your vehicle, the only way to get it is either the card that was supplied with the vehicle or using the IDS to access the module and obtain the code. Sorry man.

One dealer around me wanted 50 dollars, the other wanted 40 dollars to hook up the car to the computer and pull the code from the car. I searched the web and looked at the location described by other ford owners. I did look up above the brake pedal for any type of sticker. It was worth a shot. I only saw one sticker. White, black numbers, five digits. Figured I would try it. Sure enough it worked. For what its worth, the code was located on my car. Give it a shot and save yourself some cash and a headache.

This thread made me curious, and I thought maybe I could help, so I took a mirror and checked out my 2010 FFH for the code. (I have the glove box card, so I know what it is.) I searched under the dash on both the driver's and passenger's sides, under both seats, under both doors, and in the trunk. Alas, I found no sticker bearing the code. Perhaps they have had some theft issues with the hybrids, so they eliminated the sticker? Anyway, I'll keep an eye out for it, and will report back if I find anything.

I got a credit card looking thingy with my factory code on it. Apparently this code will always be in the car's system, including any 2 others that I set.

The code IS in the vehicle, on a sticker, just as resQengine described. It's really difficult to get yourself in position to see it, but it's there. I saw a lot more than one sticker, but the one with the code on it was there.

 

Place something on the ground outside the door to sit on, with your back to the interior of the car. Arch backwards and stick your head under the dash. Look up to your right (toward the outside of the car). Up in there somewhere is a sticker as resQengine described: white with 5 black digits on it, fairly large digits. The last digit was partially obscured by a piece of metal, but I was able to see enough of it to figure out what it was.

 

It will take a little bit of effort, and some decent body flexibility, but it IS there!

WRONG!!! I have '10 Fusion Hybrid and leave the car running with A/C on HOT n HUMID days- lock it with keypad and come out to nice cool car!
