Here are a variety of articles:

Basically, the Focus Electric still won't be competitive with the Bolt & improved Leaf. And, Ford is revealing no details about the new Fusion Energi right now. Let the speculation begin!

There is no PHEV in the Lincoln brand is there?  A coworker has the MKS and I enjoy the ride more than the Ford.  I would love to get the Energi version of the MKZ if they offered it.

Exact image of the secret 2017 Energi: https://www.instagra...m/p/_HzVA3qj0B/

I'm hoping they'll take a cue from Hyundai's playbook and use the space normally reserved for a spare tire to store at least part of the battery, thus freeing up a significant amount of trunk space.

There are also rumours that the front grille will be made a little sharper, like with the 2016+ Focus. For now I think I like the current Fusion grille more, but I need to see it in person to make a proper judgment.

As for expanding PHEVs to the Lincoln brand, I doubt there'll be much incentive to do so until sales of regular Lincolns start taking off. At least out in the Pacific Northwest, MKZs are almost nowhere to be found, let alone hybrid variations!

My precious: 2013 Fusion Hybrid SE Ice Storm - Luxury Package (Dune), Navigation, Tech Package, Active Park Assist, Moonroof (ugh), 18" premium painted luxury wheels. Built in July 2012, bought CPO (former demonstrator) in May 2014. 6.3L/100 km lifetime fuel economy

Current temporary ride: 2003 Lexus LS430 w/navigation and parking sensors. Bought in December 2002, selling when I graduate

The spare tire space in an Energi is where the battery blower is located in addition to the charger and the air pump for fixing a flat.

I'd like to see a "collapsed" space saver spare that could be inflated for temp use.
