Dead battery can cause "No Start condition"

What a surprise.

 

Interesting that they issued it for only ONE model.

Do you think that service technicians reading that will figure out that it might apply to OTHER models too. Probably not.

 

Some of the details in the TSB kind of makes me wonder how anything ever gets fixed anymore.

It is odd that TSB 15-0028's title only says it's for the Energi model when later in the Parts section it also refers to the Hybrid/Energi.

It is also instructive that part of the repair includes making sure the HVB cooling fans are working properly so the batteries stay as cool as possible.

Changing a 12v battery also requires a battery monitoring system (BMS) reset after the battery is connected.

Lastly, notice the 12v battery part number is that new one we've been discussing (TonyHzLv noticed that).
