RWFusion2014 Report post Posted February 9, 2015 My cruise control randomly "Cancels" as if I hit the brake. I drive about 80 miles a day and most of the miles are interstate miles. It seems to happen at the bottom of a hill when it is running on battery and should shift to engine. Is anyone else having this issue or have a suggested fix? I have had it i the shop twice but nothing has been found wrong yet.

RWFusion2014 Report post Posted February 9, 2015 No not every day. Last Friday cruise cancelled 4 times on my commute. Today not once. Very random bust seems to happen at bottom of hill when engine should kick on. When I set the cruise I get a small green circle to show that it is on. When this happens the green light goes out(as if I hit the brake). Once I realize cruise is disabled I can hit "Resume" and cruise engages again and goes back to set speed. SteveB_TX Report post Posted February 9, 2015 You do know that cruise will not engage and will disengage automatically below 25 mph or so right? Just curious. :)
RWFusion2014 Report post Posted February 10, 2015 Sure do. This happens on the interstate when I have the cruise set between 65 and 70.

The cruise control on our dash says the MPH & says "ECO". Can you take a picture of what shows on the dash when this happens?
SteveB_TX Report post Posted February 10, 2015 (edited) I believe he is referring to the little green speedometer icon that lights up in the lower left corner of the left cluster when cruise control is on. That icon should stay lit until you either turn cruise control OFF, or turn off the car. It should not go off on its own unless there is a fault detected in a related system. ... Usual disclaimer applies. :) Edited February 10, 2015 by SteveB_TX

SteveB_TX Report post Posted February 10, 2015 Oh! I always thought of that icon as gray rather than green lol but now that I think about it...it is green! Okay, I admit I made a slight error (see disclaimer) in my previous post. The icon only turns green when cruise is actually engaged. When cruise is just on, it is gray. :) 3 GrySql, corncobs and hybridbear reacted to this

TonyHzNV Report post Posted February 11, 2015 Oh! I always thought of that icon as gray rather than green lol but now that I think about it...it is green! From the manual (pg 83): Adaptive Cruise Control (If Equipped) The speed control system indicator light changes color to indicate what mode the system is in: See Using Adaptive Cruise Control (page 186). On (white light): Lights when you turn the adaptive cruise control system on. Turns off when you turn the speed control system off. Engaged (green light): Lights when the adaptive cruise control system engages. Turns off when the speed control system disengages. But don't believe me, it says so, right there! :) 1 GrySql reacted to this
RWFusion2014 Report post Posted February 18, 2015 If a fault causes it to cancel is there any way to get a read out of the fault?
homegameroom Report post Posted April 8, 2015 I would check the brake switch. It might need to get readjusted (I had another car with the same issue you are having and that was the solution).
