Meelaan Report post Posted July 24, 2007 I've been noticing a lot lately that the fan speed when the A/C is on fluctuates every couple of seconds. It's quite annoying if its the only sound in the car. While I'm driving I hear the A/C blowing air at a set speed--then it slows--and then speeds up. This continues indefinitely. It occurs while the Auto setting is deactivated and the fan speed is at any setting. Vent is set to recirculate interior air too. I'm concluding that this behavior has to do with the digital thermostat and the HVAC system's effort to maintain that exact temperature. Thing is, I prefer to not have the Auto thermostat feature on because it defaults to floor/dash output (in 98 degree weather, I want it all coming out of the dash). Any other owners notice this strangeness?
urnews Report post Posted July 24, 2007 Our 2007 AWD SEL acts normally, but the air is not as cold as it is in our 1997 Thunderbird and our 2000 Focus station wagon.
