Welcome to the Ford Fusion Hybrid Forum! We hope you enjoy your stay, meet new friends and learn more about what we feel is the best Hybrid on the road.

This Forum is designed to encourage a peaceful, friendly atmosphere where fellow Ford Fusion Hybrid (FFH) owners can gather to share their technical expertise and experiences, while also providing a place for social camaraderie. We believe our Forum is the best source of information and social talk regarding our cars.

General Rules of Conduct and Policies
We ask that as a general rule of thumb, you extend the same common courtesies that you would like others to extend to you. This is not a place for people to come to start fights. It is also not a place to discuss non-automotive issues which some might consider offensive. We do have a Lounge for Off-Topic Discussion, this area is for non-hybrid talk and social interaction but certain topics are not allowed. Yes, it is an "off topic" area, but this is not a forum for politics, religion, racial, or controversial social issues - there are plenty of internet forums out there that are geared toward those topics so please find one elsewhere.

Flames, insults, threats, mockery, personal bickering, whining and foul language are not welcome. The Moderating Team may issue a warning or a suspension if you are found to be in violation of this rule. Additionally, messages that the Moderators feel are inappropriate may be deleted without explanation. Cross-posting the same thread or ‘flooding’ Forum Sections is frowned upon and will be deleted without notification. Common topic ‘links’ to similar topics and questions are perfectly okay.

Technical and other posts are encouraged and welcomed, however, claims for or against a product should be supported by facts. Speculation should not be presented as fact. If you do not have evidence to support or refute a product's claims, please make it clear that your statements are conjecture (e.g., "I think that...", "It is my opinion that",). Please do not incite a flame war by bringing personal disagreements to this forum. This is an open forum, which should not intimidate any user, new or old, for fear of being attacked or ridiculed simply by asking a question.

Advertising in Forum posts is not allowed and those posts will be removed without explanation. We have authorized Fusion Hybrid Sponsors who sell products and if you’d like to join in that area please contact the Moderators.

Warnings and Suspensions
A Warning and Suspension system has been put in place for Forum administration and is generally based on a ‘points’ system.
Normally, if any of the above rules of conduct are broken the Moderators will issue a warning to the member that will include points for the infraction.

"Infraction" refers to an official notice of violation of the rules of conduct. In some cases a polite warning or reminder may be issued before an official notice of violation and carries no points.

Infraction Points Schedule
Signature violation, improper content = 1 point
Topic bumping = 1 point
Inappropriate Language = 2 points
Excessive use of capital letters in Posts (Shouting) = 2 points
Abusive behavior = 3 points
Spamming or cross-posting = Instant Ban

Other = To be determined case by case

Accumulated Infraction Points Actions
3 points = Moderated content for 7 days, requires Moderator approval before the Post is displayed
5 points = Remove ability to create content for 7 days
7 points = Suspend 10 days
10 points = Suspend permanently and Banned

The Moderating Team's decisions are final, members who attempt to argue or rebut any warning may have further points assigned or be suspended.

There may be instances of extreme misbehavior in which, upon approval of all the Moderators, suspension may be immediate and permanent.

After a period of 60 days from the Warning date, infractions will be “removed” from your record, so your continued “good behavior” will result in your record being cleared over time.

These Forum guidelines will be reviewed and modified as needed.
