Info. items on left side of posts

Recommended Posts

Everybody else shows from 0 to 4 items below their user name on posts.

Mine shows 8, many of which are empty.

How do I change what appears there ?

I have briefly looked at my profile settings and don't see a control for this.

I see 4 items for your posts:

  • Region: US Southern Atlantic
  • Location: N. Central Florida
  • Current Vehicle: Fusion Titanium
  • My Hybrid's Year: 2014

For my posts I see 9 items:

  • Gender: Male
  • Age Group: 25-34
  • Region: US Northern Plains
  • Location: Minneapolis, MN
  • Current Vehicle: 2013 Focus Electric, 2013 Fusion Energi Titanium
  • My Hybrid's Year: 2013
  • Others?: Fusion Energi
  • Interests: Hybrids, PHEVs & BEVs, Risk Management, model trains

Is this what others see?

The 8 items are viewable to you and staff (not Mod's) only, everyone else only see the 4 items.

Something new has just been added too, posted under a member's personal icon on the their profile page the number of official warnings you have collected is shown, only the member and the Mods/staff see that.

More on that soon.

I guess I understand the logic that made it that way but it sure is confusing.

Thanks for the answer.

I think if you sign out and then go look at one of your posts you will see what everyone else sees. This confused me at first also.

When did this change? I remember that things like interests used to be visible because I remember reading other users interests that they chose to post.

If you login and follow this link, you'll be able to edit your profile information. It will also which information will publicly appear on your profile and which will not. Of course, you can decline to answer fields.

The fields were put there to generate generic statistical data, however, we have never generated such.
