November Sales

Wow - Toyota sure does have a lot of Hybrid models. I don't see the Fusion Energi or C-MAX Energi listed?

They still show the FFH at 47/47 mpg. Makes me wonder how accurate anything else is on the site. Both the Energi and Max are listed, you just have to scroll down to find them.

With gas prices dropping, and considering the typical American short sightedness, expect to see hybrid/elect/etc vehicle sales numbers drop even more. It never fails to amaze me when gas prices go down, people run out and buy gas hogs, only to regret and complain about it, when a few months later gas prices surge. It would be laughable if it weren't so sad.

There's a good discussion about this at the Focus Electric Forum. One of my coworkers just bought a gas guzzling SUV based on that reasoning. Another coworker today was telling me that he's thinking of replacing his Honda Civic with a full-size SUV right now since gas prices have dropped.

They should have kept the prices "high" and use the difference to pay or save for infrastructure projects.

Watch out for a move to hike state and federal gas taxes after the holidays.

Gas prices are a vicious cycle, but you're right that we'll see Hybrid sales drop and big trucks surge.

Michigan is getting ready to really raise gas taxes over the next three years.
