LEM Report post Posted November 14, 2014 I own a 2013 and I'm so happy with it that I am positive that my next car will be the same one. I hope not in many years though... Besides all the great feaures that this car has, what I like the most is the exterior. I wish they could keep it the same way for many years!I really don't like the previous Fusion and I'm afraid that it will happen like with my old 2003 Jetta, that they completely messed it up in the following years... When do you guys think that Ford will redesign it again?
murphy Report post Posted November 14, 2014 It was new in MY 2010, which came out in early 2009; then new in 2013; so probably new in 2017.
Ram Report post Posted November 14, 2014 I really would like to see a two door, and a two door coup sport "Convertible".

gkinla Report post Posted November 15, 2014 Seeing I'm partial to Ruby Red, how about this one. This picture shows the great tail lights, we all know and love. 3 GrySql, hybridbear and corncobs reacted to this
corncobs Report post Posted November 15, 2014 I'm 100% with you GrySql and gkinla I would love to have one here. Make the battery pack flat like in a Tesla and put it in the back. Maybe I'm lucky and I see one during the next two weeks while I'm over there. If I'm really really lucking I might even get one for rental car that would be cool. 2 gkinla and GrySql reacted to this
djminfll Report post Posted November 15, 2014 Most cars get a mild "refresh" in about 3 years, then a redesign in about 5. This isn't set in stone, but it's generally the life cycle. I think the last Fusion was redesigned a little sooner because it wasn't as competitive against the Accord, Sonata, etc. But the current Fusion is selling well, even with the redesigned Accord and Sonata, so other than minor tweaks and trim changes, I don't expect to see anything major until at least 2018. But that's just my opinion...
acdii Report post Posted November 15, 2014 2016 a minor face lift, but by 2019 most likely a whole new platform based on the new D6 chassis. The previous Fusion ran 3 years, the one prior to that 4 years. Just a guess though.
Ram Report post Posted November 15, 2014 The 4dr hatch back (station wagon) looks way to much like the Ford Tauras for me. 1 jeff_h reacted to this

corncobs Report post Posted November 16, 2014 Well guess what I didn't get a Mondeo as rental (VW Golf) but what's the first car I see leaving the parking garage? You guessed correct Ford Mondeo (Fusion) station wagon. :) 5 gkinla, hybridbear, machoman1337 and 2 others reacted to this
djminfll Report post Posted November 17, 2014 I really would like to see a two door, and a two door coup sport "Convertible". If Ford ever decides to build a FFH convertible, I'll trade mine in! Otherwise, I'll have mine for quite awhile, regardless of what body style changes are made down the road. 1 md13ffhguy reacted to this

Man if this form factor came to North America in Energi form, I'd upgrade instantly. The wagon attribute would immediately make up for lost trunk space! SteveB_TX Report post Posted November 17, 2014 I had a Pinto wagon once. Just sayin' ! ;)
acdii Report post Posted November 17, 2014 Well I do believe this wagon has its gas tank by the axle and not the bumper, besides, not many Mercedes troop trucks around to tap your bumper to go BOOM.

acdii Report post Posted November 17, 2014 Dont like the windows, that back one looks huge now. The interior is probably going to have the most changes since they will be bringing back knobs and buttons. That article mentioned the Mazda 6 outsexed it, I don't see it, I still think the Fusion is hotter than the Mazda in so many ways(especially if you heard the engine starting up cold).
