mwr Report post Posted November 9, 2014 My Nokia Lumia 920 Windows phone synced easily in my 2015 FFH SE the first time I tried. The bluetooth & phone worked well then and work well now. But I get this "Windows Phone Connecting - Do Not Disturb" message every time I get in the car with the phone, as it connects with the phone, and the message doesn't go away. corncobs Report post Posted November 9, 2014 Are you sure it's "Connecting"?Can you use your phone in this state? It seems to be connected just fine since it shows the battery status, the reception strength and the 911 assist. The "Do not disturb" message / actually it's a button is always there it allows you to enjoy the FFH driving experience without being interrupted by strange phone calls. ;) 2 GrySql and hybridbear reacted to this

Aha, the "Do Not Disturb" is a button to stop receiving phone calls! Cool...
gkinla Report post Posted November 9, 2014 (edited) Try renaming your phone to something shorter than Windows Phone and you'll probably see that it actually says Connected. That's exactly the problem, your phone is named "Windows Phone", rename your phone to mwr's phone, or something similar, and you will see it say connected. A heads up, you might have to resync to see the new phone name, I know I do, using an iPhone. mwr Report post Posted November 10, 2014 Try renaming your phone to something shorter than Windows Phone and you'll probably see that it actually says Connected.I tried that and now have a larger problem. I found no way to edit anything about the phone except the phone number. So I deleted the phone, intending to simply add it back again with a new name. Ha... At the voice prompt to "sync" my phone, I tried that on the phone and it quickly went to "paired" on the phone with no further prompts or actions on the car display. Tried several times with the same result. Any ideas?

md13ffhguy Report post Posted November 10, 2014 Renaming should be somewhere in your phone's Bluetooth settings. As for reconnecting, delete your phone from Sync and the Sync profile from your phone and start from scratch? 2 corncobs and GrySql reacted to this
mwr Report post Posted November 10, 2014 Renaming should be somewhere in your phone's Bluetooth settings. As for reconnecting, delete your phone from Sync and the Sync profile from your phone and start from scratch? Thanks. I found the way to delete SYNC from the phone bluetooth settings, then when I added the phone in the car it added back OK. Except for still having the name "Windows Phone" for which I can't find a way to change either in the car of on the phone itself.
mwr Report post Posted November 10, 2014 Except for still having the name "Windows Phone" for which I can't find a way to change either in the car of on the phone itself.I changed the name of the phone by connecting the phone to my PC and changing the phone name in "Properties" of the phone. Then added that phone in the car and all is well. Good learning experience. 3 gkinla, hybridbear and corncobs reacted to this
