bigmattmc Report post Posted September 8, 2014 After driving on my new wheels ( stayed with 17 inch and reused tires) for about 750 miles my car started pulling to the right the other day. I took it to the dealer and after them telling me my warranty was voided because of the new wheels they finally looked at my brakes like I asked. Brakes and alignment was fine ( they put on stock wheels and tires and rode perfect) they thought it was radial pull or a bead damage. I took it to the place who put on my wheels and tires and they checked for damage to the bead and radial pull. Both tests came back ok. I contacted tire rack where I got the wheels and they said to do bare rim run out to get the lateral and radial measurements. The tech said it looked ok and I sent the info to tire rack and have to wait for their response. Anyone have an idea of what else it could be? I am not sure what else I can do. acdii Report post Posted September 8, 2014 If it is a tire, flipping it to the opposite side would have it pull that way. Moving that tire the the rear should help negate the pull. Wheels will not cause the pull though, only the tires. As for voiding the warranty, How would changing wheels void a warranty? Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Before I got the wheels I called a few ford dealerships to make sure it did not void the warranty. I guess my service advisor wanted to give me a tough time. SteveB_TX Report post Posted September 8, 2014 Unless the dealership can prove the wheels (or any modification) caused/resulted in a failure of a warrantied part, they are bound to do the repair under the terms of the warranty.
