keith705 Report post Posted August 30, 2014 I'm sure you'll like it. You should have no problem getting better fuel economy compared to the 2.5L and you should also notice a decent improvement in performance, especially when passing. You should save some money on maintenance too with less frequent oil changes and much longer brake pad life if you abuse regenerative braking like some of us :) 2 corncobs and hybridbear reacted to this

What maintenance did you have done by the dealer to make sure that a car that had sat for so long will not have 12V battery or tire issues? How many miles are on it? 1 jeff_h reacted to this
mco30mco Report post Posted August 31, 2014 I saw it before the prep and gotta tell ya it looked nasty. they cleaned it up pretty good but not to my standards. so today i used the clay bar and put the first coat of liquid glass on. whent over all plastic parts with back to black, and went over all the glass. ive been a car detailing person since i was a kid. no special mantenance. i was worried about the battery but its working and when i found it in the trunk and saw how small it was, figured if it goes it wont be much to replace. they checked if there was recalls and sent me on my way.im learning to drive all over again. after 200 miles mixed driving im only at 42.5 combined mpg, so i still have more to learn. 1 DamnSkippy reacted to this

Isn't it nice to say you're ONLY at 42.5 MPG? :) Here's some simple tips to get you started: 1) Accelerate like it's a sports car (well, not really, just don't take all day to accelerate)2) Brake like it's a semi3) Use the Eco mode Cruise Control as a teacher on how to drive between the stopping and going. After a few days of that you'll figure out what works best for you and the routes you drive and then you can really start squeezing out some extra MPGs.
