That WONT buff out! I wonder what was blowing up in the front. there were several explosions. I know that batteries were at least 2, but that big one towards the end, wow.

There is a lot of that around these parts.

When I had my place at Lake Havasu on the CO river that happened frequently, the highest I saw there was 123F.

It was nice to dive off the boat often.

Some folks are not calling this vehicle a Ford, but instead --> a FORB - Found On the Road Burning.

Death Valley, lovely spot. The Furnace Creek Ranch Golf Course is great, your ball rolls an extra 75 yards because the 'grass' is so hard.

I was right, that is not far from where I had my last flat tire, just over those snow capped mountains is the Owens Valley where I was stuck.

Appropriately named, It certainly WAS Death Valley for that truck.

 

Speculation. Looking at the first photo in the slide, the fire seems to be originating from the left side firewall, not the cab, so my uneducated guess(Going by the design of the F350 I had), if this was a Diesel, the brakes are powered by the power steering fluid, so a hose ruptured, spraying PS fluid onto the hot manifold/turbo, and being that the outside temps were 120* or so, the engine compartment would be extremely hot, and cause an instant ignition of the fluid. Once that starts it can quickly engulf the vehicle like this.
