That last page is pretty important, something Ford should mail out to all customers since it is not something I have seen in the manual.

Interesting. I ran into this issue just last week. The nozzle had the gap. Of course, who looks that close at the nozzle. When it came time to remove the nozzle it would not come out. It was catching. I was getting pretty rough with it until I figured out what was going on. I was able to just reach in with an index finger and push the flap away from the nozzle and it came out.

 

Kind of scary when it happens.

A few weeks ago, I seen a newer F150 pickup driving down the street with fuel nozzle sticking out of the filler neck, no hose or anything else, just the nozzle. Didn't know why, until now...

Next time I am at my dealer, I will chat witht he sales guys so they can make customers aware of this. Bet the sales guys don't know about this. Will save a lot of people problems down the line who are aware of it.

Just an update to this post. I looked at Owner.ford.com site and this is now included with the rest of the owners manuals.
