I found the wheels I want!

Recommended Posts

Stopped at my dealer last night to pick up my T and went in the showroom to say hello to everyone(yeah only the NOOBs dont know me), and there was a RR SE sitting on the floor with these awesome black chrome rims. I MUST have these! On the TB Fusion they are KILLER looking. Now to find out what kind of deal they can get me with the Pure Contacts mounted.

eh yeah, $1800 for a set of 4? Dealer SRP is $395 each. I plan to keep my OEM wheels, so rather purchase from the dealer.

These are the rims that come on the Fusion ICE SE as the optional 18-inch wheels. I agree that they look very nice.

I have to admit they do look nice, they should be an dealer option or upgrade.

Those aren't painted though, they are plated, like Chrome but with a different technique. There are some painted wheels though that are peeling, I don't think they are the same ones, the one I posted above has a different pattern on it. I do recall the 19" H spokes had paint issues, and I believe they were also black, but not the chrome black

I ran out and took a picture in the dark, so not as crisp as usual.

However taking a close look at this rim, if I were to strip the paint, Polish the raised portion, mask it off and paint it black then remove the mask and clear coat and bake, I think it would look a LOT better.

I checked with my dealer and these are the prices they gave me for those rims

Wheels - 18 Inch PVD Dark Chrome Kit

SRP:$395.00

Your Price: $317.98

Installed:$353.98

Nice looking rims.

Those look almost like the ones I have as my winter rims. They are painted black but with the spike faces silver metal they same ones acdii picked a few month ago.

I don't understand.

These are the same ones that acdii posted in the first post of this thread.

CC These are 18" Factory rims I am looking to get. They are Black Chrome. They look similar in design, but no exposed metal, its all the same color. They are really sharp looking on RR, and will look great on my TB.

These are the other ones I had picked out too http://www.tirerack.com/upgrade_garage/BigPic.jsp?wheelMake=Sport+Tuning&wheelModel=T1&wheelFinish=Machined+w%2FBlack+Accent

I think these are what you have, http://www.tirerack.com/upgrade_garage/BigPic.jsp?wheelMake=moda&wheelModel=MD17&wheelFinish=Machined+w%2FBlack+Accent

Yes correct they are different and all black chrome but on the Ford page that was posted the shine like bare metal that's why I referenced the wheels.

I like both looks I probably wouldn't like the price.

And yes the links aren't working right.
