Anyone else get TSBs fixed for the FFH2013?

I have a 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid Titanium. I bought it in July 2013 and I love it even though the mileage is hovering about 37 mpg. I had a musty smell from the AC and with the help of this forum, I realized that there was an applicable TSB (14-0099) that resolved this issue. I made an appointment with the dealer to fix that TSB, and also to check the GPS (TSB 14-0037) and the transmission fluid leak (TSB 14-0085). The earliest appointment they had was September 8 (haha). Are there any other TSBs that you have had fixed that I should bring to their attention?

There is one for the climate control to turn the AC off when you press the AC button to turn it off. Dont know what it is but there is one. Thats the only one I have had done to my car, everything else was either cosmetic or just normal maintenance.

In the TSBs section you can find a lot of TSBs that have been posted to help you see. I can't think of any others off the top of my head that might apply.

That has been bothering the heck out of me! Could you please provide a TSB number? I checked but couldn't find it. The closest I found was a TSB dealing with the AC settings following a remote start. I hate that the AC is on when I just want to have some air blowing on a good day.

Thank you for the suggestion! I reviewed the TSB section quite carefully but I think it isn't an exhaustive listing. I found more TSBs on CarMD.com but there were just way too many to sort through unless you knew what you were looking for. I mean, the leaking transmission TSB? I would never expect that until it was too late.

There are 45 TSBs plus dozens of other service messages that are listed for the 2013 Fusion Hybrid. Not all of them will apply to any one car, but the point is you should not think of TSBs as fixes that need to be done. They are solutions to problems, if you don't have the problem, you don't need to use them. If your transmission is not actually leaking, there is no need to perform the TSB.

 

The A/C shut-off however is neither a TSB or a service message. As I've posted elsewhere, you need to have the FCIM module updated to the latest software level.

Thanks for the update. I was aware that the TSBs do not apply to all cars. I'm just saying that being aware of TSBs helped me realize that there were things wrong with my car that could be fixed. For instance, the musty AC. I would not have expected that to be a TSB issue. And the transmission may or may not be leaking, but now that I know of the TSB, I'm getting the dealer to check it!

This week they replaced my A/C for the musty odor and because I knew to tell them, they re-programmed the FCIM today. Thanks Waldo!
