Instead of having two key fobs, I'd like to have just one. Assuming the factory installed starts have a single key fob, could I buy one and have it programed to work with the dealer installed remote start? Ryan Goodlett Report post Posted July 9, 2014 For the 2013-2014 it's a plug and play kit. You can probably install it yourself. The only catch is the dealer will have to hook it up to their IDS computer and turn on the programming. Back to the original question....yes you will have a second small key fob with your remote start button on it.
