acdii Report post Posted June 26, 2014 I looked at all menus and did not see a setting to mute the radio when in reverse.
SteveB_TX Report post Posted June 26, 2014 I also noticed that if you start the Nav calculating a route, then shift into reverse, route calculation is cancelled. It's like the backup camera cancels EVERYTHING in MFT. Yep. I guess Ford wants you to pay attention to the backing-up process and leave the extra distractions for when you are moving forward. You know, like texting, eating, and screaming at the MFT/MLT! ;) 1 hybridbear reacted to this
hybridbear Report post Posted June 26, 2014 Speaking of the rear view camera. How many of you have the curving dashed black center line and the white curving edge lines on your screen and how many just have the white edge lines? The C-Max has both the white outside lines and a dashed black line to show where the center of the car will end up when backing up. The FFH just has the outside white lines. hybridbear Report post Posted June 26, 2014 Is there a setting to turn them on? I've looked and haven't found it.
SteveB_TX Report post Posted June 26, 2014 No center dotted black line on the MKZh. I have the tri-colored side lines and the curvy white direction lines. I remember this being discussed last year.
corncobs Report post Posted June 27, 2014 I believe that the center line only appears when you hit the zoom button but then the curved white lines disappear.

acdii Report post Posted June 27, 2014 That black line is the hitch alignment guide, not sure if it can be turned on/off in the Fusion, but the F150 I believe made it possible.

Yes you can turn it "on" when you hit the zoom in button on the top of the screen.
djminfll Report post Posted June 29, 2014 I previously posted this in the Energi forum but it probably applies to the Hybrid also. I was ready to activate a stored route this morning. I had backed out of the garage and was stopped waiting for the garage door to close. I pushed the Voice command button and there was no response. I pushed it a few more times but nothing happened. Thinking it might be blocked by reverse I shifted to Drive but there was still no response. The rear view camera was still on because I have it set to stay on for a short time after shifting to Drive. Not until I was moving forward and the camera turned off was I able to get a response from the Voice button. In response to the original question in the thread...I think is more of MFT problem than something related to being in reverse or the backup camera. Mine has been in to Ford at least 6 times for intermittent failure of the MFT Voice button. They have done software updates and other things, but the problem persists in mine. As for the muting issue, mine does mute in reverse, but only when the sensors pick up something and the beeping starts.
