Where to find the all included and optional items and prices?

Recommended Posts

I finally gave up on the Ford site after trying several times to get a readable/understandable list of standard and optional items for the SE Hybrid and how much they cost. The lists provided mostly included "not available" packages and some of the available ones didn't show what they included. it's the worst presentation I've ever seen.

So far, edmunds.com has the best option listing and selection that I've found. Any better ones out there?

I replied to your question about this in another thread. Edmunds.com is pretty good. I never had problems with the Ford.com build & price. If you elaborate about the specific challenge you're having we might be able to help. I agree that the Ford.com build & price isn't super user-friendly.

The Ford Fusion order guide seems to be the most authoritative and accurate info on options I have seen, but it did pretty much jive with the Ford Fusion "Build & Price" info I found. You might need to click on the deep links throughout the "Build & Price" pages for the specific options to see the complete details for what is included in each package and option choice.

Here are some different links to the 2014 Order Guide, one is the latest version. I have still not seen the 2015 Order Guide on the web.

Latest 2014 version:

I posted the 2015 order guide on BOF & Texasota posted it here. Check out the Fusion & MKZ section of BOF or the MY2015 thread in this section of the forum. Edited by hybridbear

Waldo pointed out that it was actually a 2015 Marketing Guide (my apologizes). Nevertheless, it still has interesting information regarding the 2015 changes.

The real 2015 Fusion Order Guide (for gas and Hybrid, but not Energi) is now available at a BOF link.

Thanks for the 2015 Fusion Order Guide. But I hope I just don't know how to read it, because what I see is:

If you want an SE Hybrid with leather seats, (1) the Terracotta option is the only way to do that and (2) that means you can't get paint colors Deep Impact Blue Metallic or Ruby Red Tinted Clearcoat.

I have incorrectly interpreted this ordering guide once already so I may be wrong here but I see this on page 12 (2015 FUSION SE HYBRID SERIES EQUIPMENT GROUP) of the ordering guide:

Luxury Package

  • 10-Way Power Driver Seat w/3 memory settings, Leather Seating surfaces & Heated Front Seats
  • Auto-dimming Driver Side Exterior Mirror with Memory
  • Fog Lamps
  • Leather-Wrapped Steering Wheel and Gearshift Knob
  • Auto-dimming Rearview Mirror
  • Chrome Moldings Around Window
  • LED Rear Combination Lamps Ford High (Full Circle)
  • Warm Interior Accents

Are leather seating surfaces different than leather seats?

Leather seating surfaces is industry jargon for leather under your butt and back, vinyl everywhere else. Nothing new about that.

Thanks, Texasota, you're right and I'm the one who misread that order form. The way I read it now, page 12 agrees with page 18, and if you get the Luxury Package on the SE Hybrid you get leather seats in either Dune or Charcoal Black, and all paint colors are available with either of those interior colors..

You get that Luxury Package by getting either Equipment Group 500A (also includes Appearance Package) or 501A (does not include Appearance Package).

Oh now you can get the appearance with Luxury, couldnt get that in the 13 models.

For 2015, the leather seats color that is not black is Dune for the SE Hybrid and Medium Soft Ceramic for the Titanium Hybrid.

- What is the difference between those colors?

- What does "Medium Soft" mean"?

- Are there differences in the seats themselves between the SE Hybrid and Titanium Hybrid?

Big difference between seats. The SE Luxury seats are a bit wider and much softer. The Ti seats have firmer bolsters and the back is more formed to keep you in the seats. I prefer the Luxury over the Ti seats. Someday I may find a pair of Luxury seats and swap them out.

Why do you think that? I don't see anything that indicates that to be true. The 501A (Appearance Package) is a separate column from the 500A (base model) & the 502A (Luxury Package). That indicates that you cannot get both the Appearance Package & the Luxury Package together because they're separate Equipment Group Order Codes.

I again misread the 2015 order guide. Page 12 shows that Equipment Group 500A contains neither the Appearance Package nor the Luxury Package, 501A contains the Appearance Package, and 502A contains the Luxury Package.

You get that Luxury Package by getting either Equipment Group 500A (also includes Appearance Package) or 501A (does not include Appearance Package).
