new owner and a few questions

I scanned through everything here for current 2014 info and i have a few questions.

 

I apologize in advance if these are basic questions that is commonly known or if i missed them in my search

 

1. Snyc links my phone to my touch??? is it possible to control options of my touch with my phone remotely, lets say 50' away? can i start the car remotely with my phone and adjust the a/c heat etc etc?

 

I'll have a lot more questions in time.

Your phone links the SYNC software in the car with the SYNC server.

It's linked via bluetooth which has a 30' limit.

 

You can't use the phone to control the car. That capability is only available in the Energi and it doesn't use SYNC to do it.

Thanks, seems like it would be fairly easy for ford to make a app to make this happen.

 

knight industries was able to make this work in the early 80's with a trans am, watch and bad haircuts

There is an app that can remote start the car, but only a few vehicles have it, and has to have the module installed by the Dealer for about $500, along with a $60 a year fee. I have the Lincoln Remote App installed, and according to it, the Explorer and Flex are available, but I dont see Fusion listed yet.
