Rear Fusion Rattle

Recommended Posts

My trunk lid squeaks badly when opening but also when I'm driving the car and going through some bumps I hear some rattling. Taking it in today.

I don't have any rattles but my trunk does creak when I open it which you guys are implying is connected.

Is there a TSB for this?

Verify that the rubber sleeve that is on the torsion bars is centered so the bars can't touch each other or the underside of the package shelf.

I have a 2015 FFH with 25000+ miles on it. Love the car but it sounds like I have run over a stick or limb with leaves on it and it is fluttering as I drive. I have put it on a lift and touched everything I can see but I cannot find the sound or where it is coming from; very annoying. All of the underneath covers, covering the frame and electrical wireing are paper feeling and have a lot of movement with them. some I have taken a nut and washer and put on the bolts that they cover and pulled it up some but even that does not help.

Any Ideas??? PLease?

Have a 2014 fusion hybrid with 45,000 miles. It’s definitely a clunker!!

I have replaced all shocks and it clunks as if the whole car is about to fall into pieces.  It’s Parked inside my garage and taken care of.
I will never buy another Ford.

When did that start?

This is one of the least helpful forums I've seen in a while. Sorry.

Mine was a bass regulator and amp for the stereo rattling I just happened to hit the trunk liner in right spot one day and finally heard the same noise it made on bumps I peeled the trunk liner back and made sure both were secure and it stopped I really thought it was something under the car the way it sounded
