what color is my car? blue, black or green?

Recommended Posts

I just purchased 2014 fusion hybrid in "dark side" color. I've been telling people it's black but that's not correct. what color should I register for my car? I've told my insurance it's dark blue with a question mark. that probably wrong also. When I register the car I'm given the choice between, blue, black or green. If I wrote in "dark side" nobody will know what I'm talking about. What's the consensus on the color?

When I registered my cars with my insurance company I had to give them the paint codes.

It is mostly blue with green flecks. A very deep base with a lot of black mixed in. I would register as blue. My 2010 FFH was dark green and several times was mistaken for black too.

Dark side is such a cool color. I think its technically a really dark green. It was my first choice but I ended up settling on tuxedo black because dark side wasn't available with the correct options at the dealership I went to

My dealer was telling me that dark side is registered as green, at least here in North Carolina. It has similar qualities to the Kodiak brown metallic, where it changes appearance depending on light exposure.

Very close to the Atlantis Green, but tends more to blue under certain light than green. Its that color Ford is famous for, looks like this, but ts really that, but wait, its actually this. They did it on the Mustang, the 99 F350 and now with Dark Side. The Touralamine on the F350 was striking. It was green, and blue, or blue, or green, depending on the light source. In my garage under cold fluorescent it was blue, but in the sun it was green.
