Recall 14C03 - Seat Back Frame

Recommended Posts

I just checked etis and yes the recall is on there!

Maybe the seat frames are made by different manufactures I (my car) just got lucky enough to receive a subpar version.

Well at least Ford is taking action.

I actually believe my seat is already broken since I can hear a cracking sound when going thru a corner a bit faster.

So what you are saying is that you broke your seat with too many high G turns.

No I don't think so it was just a crazy joke for that roads are way to straight around here. :)

pffft you saw the S curve on Kish, try the one on River. That one will make your tires squeal at 60. (and others wonder why my tires are worn)

That's the advantage of living out in the country side more chance of fun non-straight roads.

Got my two new seat backs installed last week. The seat somehow feels firmer than before I wonder how much they have to replace or if it's just the metal.

Unfortunately they were unable to recreate the weight shifting noise coming from the lower part of the seat. I was hoping it would solve itself with the recall but it didn't.

Well I just need to show my SA next time I have time to make a stop.

Great idea, corncobs. Let me know when you're headed in and I'll do what I can to help from my neck of the woods. How many miles are on your Fusion?

Thanks for following up, corncobs! Right before you go to your next appointment at the dealership, send me a PM with your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealer info; I'll escalate this up to your regional customer service manager. :)
