Ford Super News Ticker Report post Posted March 25, 2014 Two of the world’s most recognizable icons are coming together April 16-17, as the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang convertible will be on display on the observation deck of the Empire State Building in New York. The display – replicating the same feat from nearly 50 years ago – coincides with the global celebration of 50 years since Mustang debuted at the 1964 World’s Fair in New York. GrySql Report post Posted March 25, 2014 (edited) We took our Mustang GT 'vert on the 45th Mustang Anniversary with the 2009 Mustangs Across America drive, it was a lot of fun.As more cars joined in the travel across the USA we had about 10 miles of Mustangs of all types on the highway rolling along through New Mexico and eastward, it was quite a sight. It became a traffic problem in congested areas and local police helped a bit when we stopped for the organized lunches and dinners. We had a 7am Driver's Meeting every morning to discuss the coming day.Putting over 300 Mustangs on the highway on-ramp at one time was tricky, we had a couple of fender benders with lookey-loo's.Certain Ford Dealerships and Mustang Clubs hosted us, our Bossier City, Lousiana stop was held in the Civic Center Auditorium.I'm not going next year for the 50th Anniversary MAA event but it ought to be fun. The 2009 route started at the Shelby Racing & Museum facility in N.
