digitalsherpa Report post Posted February 22, 2014 Well, I put the deposit down on a new 2014 Ford Fusion Titanium Hybrid tonight. I'm not new to hybrids. I currently have a 2013 Toyota Prius V5. I know, I know, so new.... I like the PV5 mechanics, the mileage, but I hate the entertainment system and the road noise! Entune just really sucks! I can't say enough about how bad it is. Our other car is a C-Max SEL, and I'm telling ya Ford Sync is awesome by comparison! My daily commute includes about 16 miles one-way of highway driving, and the road noise in the PV5 is so bad I have to crank the volume up a lot. And the noise makes me tense. So, car shopping is now a reality again. I've looked at the Camry Hybrid, and I tried to find a new Honda Accord Hybrid to look at. Good luck finding a Honda Accord Hybrid Touring! I wanted the Touring model, but no dealers in this area have them. I tried the lower end model, but found the ride rough. Though the Entune in the Camry Hybrid seems more full-featured, I have such a negative view of Entune that I don't want to try it. Plus, the looks of the Honda and Camry just don't stand up to the classy look of the Fusion! The Ford dealer near my work brought in the model equipped with what I want in the color I want. I'll have to negotiate over the add-ons I don't want. Why do they put sunroofs on most models? Ugh! I don't want one, but can't find what I do want without the sunroof, too! Hopefully I can close the deal by the end of next week!!!
hybridbear Report post Posted February 22, 2014 Congrats and welcome! The Prius is very noisy, that's why we don't drive ours on long trips. I also agree that Entune is terrible...MFT is so much better. I don't understand how car reviewers bash MFT but don't bash Entune in their reviews of Toyota products. 1 GrySql reacted to this
acdii Report post Posted February 22, 2014 They are paid better by toyota! :) I think you might like the sunroof after having it a while, especially on warm days when you want to maximize MPG by cracking a rear window and venting the sunroof. It is surprising how much that little bit can keep you cool on a warm day where you would normally have AC going. It also comes in real handy on a hot day when you are walking to the car and lower all the windows and vent the roof before getting in. Cools the car down quickly. Anyways, welcome to the club, you will love the Fusion once you get it. 2 B25Nut and hybridbear reacted to this
hybridbear Report post Posted February 22, 2014 Also, with an interest in photography, I think you'll find that the FFH looks great in pictures. I hope you'll post some of you car once you get it.
