I want to make sure somethings not wrong with my car, but has anyone noticed a bit of lag in the gauge on occasion? Such as switching to EV mode its like the MPG starts going up first then all of a sudden the blue comes on and other times its instant... Seemed not notice when I first got the car over the weekend, but seems to be happening more now

Yeah that happens on mine from time to time. Not sure if it affects anything but I do notice what you're describing.

When all white, it means the ICE is still running. There are times when there is a delay when switching to EV that the ICE still runs, my only guess on that is that it hasn't met certain temp requirements to fully shut off.

The MPG goes to 60 while white and the ice actually turns off but its just delayed at showing its turned to EV mode or something... I am just hoping any lag is only instrument panel related, and not actual engine control (i'm so far unhappy with my mpg I drive with no heat and barely can keep a 37 avg with full coach bars)

I see the same behavior quite often maybe I'm looking at my graphs too much. Nothing that ever concerned me I feel like it's more frequent when it's cold and the display is a bit slow.

Does it coincide with the ICE/Hybrid/EV mode car displayed on the MFT display? Do they both change at the same time?

Empower & the Power Flow screens on MFT are in sync. The issue is that sometimes the ICE stops having fuel injected but it stays on. This is especially common in the cold on the freeway. ET Mode will show that when this happens the ICE RPM is under 1000. This is DFSO and is what the car used to do above 62 MPH when the ICE wasn't needed. When this happens the ScanGauge shows HP of 0.0 and LOD of 30. When the ICE actually turns off the ScanGauge shows HP of 1.2.

I since have paid closer attention to this. To add to what I posted above, the ICE RPM is right around 900 when this happens. It seems to happen most when the ambient air temp is extremely cold.

I have also seen this lag while driving in 75°-80° temps. But for me, it seems to occur mostly while I am going up a slight incline, and then when I let off the gas a little to encourage a quicker switch to the EV mode. It seems like the computer is unsure whether the conditions I am driving under will allow it to stay in EV mode once the computer has actually made the switch to EV mode, since the current load at that time is on the brink of requiring the ICE.

When the car decides to lag in turning off the ICE it seems to decide not to turn off the ICE no matter what. I've tried taking my foot fully off the pedal and more to try to get it to fully turn off but in these situations it just won't. Most common occurrence seems to be shortly after exiting the freeway in very cold weather. It seems that the first time that the ICE comes on after exiting the freeway that the ICE is slow to turn off.
