hybridbear Report post Posted January 2, 2014 Very cool! I wish Ford would put a small solar panel on the hybrid that you could always start your trips with a full battery charge when it's sunny. murphy Report post Posted January 2, 2014 (edited) I can't see it working where I live in SE PA. I have 40 solar panels on my house roof. They are rated at 10 kW. That is a DC rating and only about 80% of that is achievable in AC output. Today is a cloudy day with snow on the way. They are currently generating 523 watts with total production for today at 11:25 AM at 1.32 kWh.
