New Speakers

[First time hybrid owner]

I'm looking to replace the factory speakers on my 2013 FFH SE, as I am dissatisfied with the sound quality. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to buy? And whether to just do the front or also the back ones? Am looking to spend $50--$120 per pair. Also, do you recommend installing an amp? I don't want to mess with the noise canceling technology or anything. Thanks.

Go to crutchfield.com and see what fits. They have special wiring for the MKZ that allows me to add amps and processors to my THX system. They may have something similar for the Fusion. :)

I went to best buy and started with a 4 channel line out converter (for one - two amps) an alpine 300W amp and a polk audio 12" sub box.

That ran me $500 and now I'm saving up for kenwood or polk components in both front and rear doors attached to a second alpine amp. That is estimated to cost around $800 with $300 coming from just the install.

 

The best buy tech was great to work with and did a very clean install. Mounted amp on back of drop down seat attached to a nice looking (and conveniently removable) sub box.

Did you have to disconnect any mics to avoid issues with the NCS?
