Depreciation of Electric Cars.

Recommended Posts

I'm not surprised. Biggest notion driving that is the state of the batteries in 5 years. We already know the Leaf battery packs lose a large percentage of their capacity over a short period of time. http://www.greencarreports.com/news/1079244_independent-tests-show-nissan-leaf-electric-cars-lost-range-in-hot-climates

They also appear to have shorter life spans if you drive more than the average 12500 miles per year, use a fast charger more than once per day, or live in an extreme hot/cold climate.

However, if this does hold true, maybe we all can someday afford a Tesla S.
