GrySql Report post Posted December 13, 2013 Mine has always had a low stance in front and when I see the gas only versions flitting around they don't look the same to me.Is the extra weight of the hybrid system, Traction motor and ICE making the car sit just a little bit lower in front?I know I have to be careful at driveways and parking lot curbs. CD3 Performance is selling lowering kits and I wouldn't dare install those, it's low enough already. Well, my Mustang GT has Ford Racing progressive springs that drop it 1-1/8" - but that's different. Who has a ruler handy and a Fusion SE 1.6L Ecoboost gas model nearby? Waldo Report post Posted December 13, 2013 Ford always adjusts the springs to match the weight on it's different models so that they have the correct ride height. But there is always variance, usually around half an inch or so. Sometimes they will adjust the ride heights for the benefit of fuel economy, but I don't know if that's the case on the FFH. Sleddog Report post Posted December 14, 2013 I'm wondering if it's because of the taller sidewall tires on the gas models.
dkegel Report post Posted December 18, 2013 (edited) If the sidewalls are taller, the wheels are smaller (e.g., 17" instead of 18"). The overall diameter will be the same. Dave Edited December 18, 2013 by dkegel
